This cake is just a basic white half sheet cake with buttercream icing, fondant plaque, and royal icing accents. It was a challenge for me from the start. I don't do cakes often and it shows, though I did have fun and the church group liked it. They actually took the pictured and sent it to me.

This is a cars birthday cake for my nephew. I did the Lightning McQueen with colorflow. Hope he likes it!
Fondant present cake (I used MMF). I didn't like Wilton brand because it tasted like a chemical. I really had fun with this. I did have a hard time keeping my MMF soft, but finally got through this cake.
My 6 year old daughter wanted to use a cake I made for class. I base iced it and she did all the decorations. She told me next time she wanted to make the cake and ice it too.
Thanks to many who answered my forum topics about basketweave and daisies I finished my cake in class and was so happy with how it turned out! I loved the sewing guage idea and my daisies still gave me trouble, but I tried very hard to at least get them to all look the same. I appreciate this site so much. This IS Fun Fun!!!

This is a casually iced white cake with all butter BC frosting for a friend. My first attempt at using royal icing flowers and color flow birds. I will be presenting this to my friend tomorrow. I wish I had done a better job, but not bad for a beginner. Hopefully, my Wilton classes will improve my efforts.
I had fun with this cake and gave it to a friend for a Thank You gift. Just a single layer. I will try a double layer for the next final. Wish me luck!
This was fun for me. I didn't know at the time that I should have done a base icing first. Oh well!
