I was asked to do a cake for dual birthday party. The boy likes cars and the girl likes Barbie. This is what I came up with. It was a hit. The little girl wouldn't let them cut the Barbie Cake. She cried so they had to take it off and put it in the house.
This was a last minute cake. I had very little notice. They wanted it to feed a lot of people. I made a 2 layer 9 X 13 sheet cake and made a single layer Care Bear cake and just put it on top. The width and height is pretty much the same. I was having a really bad day! so many problems. I thought I would end up giving it to them for free. But it came out ok in the end. They were thrilled! I guess that's all that matters.

My very first wedding cake. It's a buttercream basketweave with violets. It's not perfect but I was thrilled how it turned.
