Punk rock girl birthday cake. white fondant has pearl luster dust. The humidity in the air caused the fondant to become shiny but it still turned out great!

My first attempt at chocolate frosting, it's devil's food cake with the very special buttercream recipe posted on here that I swear by for every cake I do. It's amazing.
First cake carving experience, marshmallow fondant Suzuki symbols around the outer edge.
Marshmallow fondant, buttercream, chocolate molding clay with copper, pearl and ivory luster dust to give some of it a metallic look. I handpainted the squares with power coloring like a water color it worked very well. The candles are held up with a wooden dowel, it was molded around it.
Used as a combination of birthday and Mother's Day cake so there was no writing, but everyone loved it and it was a blast to make. Devils food and chocolate frosting with marshmallow fondant.
Very easy and fun to do, used pearl powder on the circles which gave it a very nice sparkle!
Her candle broke a little, but took me about 18 hours to do this cake. Wasn't completely satisfied with the coral, and will do it more 3D next time I get a chance. Got SO many compliments on this cake, it was so much fun and the glitter dust made a HUGE difference on the coral and the tail!
