First Wedding Cake!
A friend of the family wanted me to do this cake after hearing about the cake I did for my SIL's reception. I was so excited and nervous to do an actual Wedding Cake!!! Everyone was pleased with the outcome and I'd love to do another. 14", 12", 10" and 8". 2 layers of choc w/ whipped ganache and 2 layers of white w/ bc. Scrolls are painted with silver luster dust.

Bomb Cake (Before)
For my son's 9th Birthday party, he wanted to blow up his cake and eat pie. So we saved an M80 from 4th of July awaiting this day. I wasn't sure what would happen, so I just made a small cake. Nothing fancy, just a 10" cake, we dug a well in the cake and placed the m80 inside and put the "bomb" cake on top.... After picture to follow....

40Th Anniversary Cake
My first BIG paid cake. 14, 10, 8, and 6" WASC cake, bc icing and silk florals. Also my first time working with pillars. I was pretty nervous about that. Their original had swan pillars, 12" base cake and lavendar bc rosettes. This is my slightly modernized interpretation and they absolutely loved it!! The florist was running late so I don't have a pic yet of the cake after the floral topper and decorated table.--Also made me nervous about someone else touching my cake, but thankfully it went well!

Baby Shower Cake
Did this for my best friend's baby shower. This was a last minute creation, because the cake I'd baked for the pillow that I wanted to do ended up sticking in all 4 sides of the pan!!! (first time in 4 years!) It was too late to rebake so I made due with the other 2 cakes(which were going to be together to make one tall tapered tier for the pillow to sit on). It's iced and decorated in BC with mmf baby and blanket. At least they loved it and her cousin scheduled me to do a 40th anniversary cake in Oct!

Bbq Smoker
This is for my friend's birthday. His party was at a BBQ competition 3 hours away. They transported the "smoker" and sheet cake seperate. The dowels were already in place, so all they had to do was place the smoker on top when they got there. The cakes had to travel in their camper for 3 hours up and down windy back roads!! It looks like the only prob was a little leaning. This isn't a great pic, but that's what I get for not being there to assemble (and hide dowels! ugh!) and take the pic myself.

Mom's Favorite Places
I did this for my mom's surprise 50th Birthday party. She loves to travel, so I did a traveling cake with chocolate transfers of her favorite places she has been. 10" white cake with bc, 8" coconut cake with coconut cream cheese icing, 6" chocolate cake with whipped choc ganache filling covered in ganache, each tier covered in mmf with choc transfer accessories.

My Little Pony Cottage Castle Cake
OK, I debated on even posting this one. The idea well just ran dry half way through. Also, I was out of town and didn't have any backup supplies. It was for my dd's 4th birthday. It's sprinkle cake covered in chocolate clay (first time--definately need lots more practice!! lol), Rice Krispie towers (was intended to appear like icecream on top of these--don't ask what went wrong!!!!) and the cupcakes are iced in bc with bc polka dots.

Sailboat Cake
This was a last minute order for a friend. The boat was inspired by my son's toy boat. I had major issues with the sail! I made it from mmf (with gumtex)--didn't have time to dry thoroughly, forgot to poke hole in the boat board, kids lost my sharpener, etc... anyway, the sail is sitting up higher than it was intended, but at least it stayed put! Named the boat after his fiance. Choc cake iced in bc with mmf sail.

Army Tank
I did this for my son's 8th birthday. After watching an episode of Ace of Cakes with me, He decided he wanted fireworks of some kind, so he came up with an army tank that shoots fireworks!! What he wants, mommy makes. We did sparklers out the front, and bottle rockets out of the barrel ....Note to self...make longer barrel for bottle rockets!! lol.
