12 and 8" Round (waaay too much cake) frosted with pastry pride. Made a giant cake ball and added a little black food coloring for the big rock on top. Used plastic indiana jones toy on top. Rolled a giant whip out of chocolate satin ice and used green satin ice for some snakes. whoila. Super easy!
150 Cupcakes To Match
Matched the cupcakes and cake to match the invitation (which I placed in the photo). BIG THANK YOU and GIANT KUDOs to Macsmom! She made the bride and groom. (Rock climbers). The photo doesn't do the detail justice, she is a genius! Chocolate cupcakes and cake with a chocolate fudge center (pampered chef apple corer). Chocolate flavored cream cheese frosting. Cut out leaves of MMF. Groom said it was the best cake he has ever had!
Davidson Wedding Cake
10in square+6in square. French Vanilla, cream cheese filling, chocolate cream cheese frosting (yum yum) and chocolate MMF which is a pain in the toosh to work with, but tastes great! Border to match invitation. Fresh Flowers. Also made a 12 in kitchen cake.
Red Velvet Cupcakes
Got the recipe from the cupcake discussion thread. Would give credit, but the recipe was somewhere between page 80 and 110 and I can't go through 80 pages to start looking for it. Cream cheese frosting.
Girl At The Pool
I made the cake to match the invitation. I wanted to put polka dots on the sides, my sister wanted flowers... Worked out so I had an easy way to match the cupcakes. I was excited to use the sweet server cupcake stand. I used my glue gun to glue a maraboa around the edges. Was very fun! The ball was perfect until it crushed the back of the cake, but my friend didn't even notice. She LOVED IT! Yea!!! (she had asked for primary colors)
Clovis High Graduation Cake
10, 8 and 6" Bottom layer has gumpaste Krista and MMF cutouts of diploma hat and diplomas. Middle layer is a stencil of stars and swirls painted on with blue sparkle and vodka. Then the whole layer is dusted with gold sparkle dust. Hard to tell, but it worked okay.... School colors. Top is a blue 08 on the front and a yellow 08 on the back. Top is curly gumpaste. I had to redo since I didn't put saran wrap on the dowel and the glued to the dowel the first time!
Father Day Tie
I got some of those scrapbooking stamps and put dad and some scrolls on the cake.. then painted over in silver...ehh, I think I pressed too hard and it made a quilted/pillow effect. ChefCindy made the tie, I painted it! MMF was giving me a bad time... little hard balls, so I covered up the imperfections with silver dragees.
8 and 6 inch. Cake topper was too large so I put it on the base of the cake plateau and used spare flowers to do the top myself. Bride loved it! If you can believe it, they saved the top layer and served over 100 people with the 8 inch.... there has to be more to this story that I'm missing... but the MOB said so.... My first attempt at doing freehand scrolls like this.
5 Tier Cornelli
I was sooo happy at how straight this cake was. I got to do the flowers myself... the florist left me the leftovers to do with what I wanted.... 14, 12, 10, 8 and 6 inch cake. Each layer was different flavor and fillings.
12 square, 10 inch round, 6 inch square. The 3 hour drive to this ranch was beautiful! The ranch was up in the mountains so the road was super windy! I can't believe it survived the journey... I delivered it stacked! Came out perfect! Heat wilted the flowers. Wedding was an amazing tribute to who God IS and I'm glad to have been able to be a part of it. Words on middle say "I am my beloved and my beloved is mine". I have the Bride and Grooms Initials amongst the scrolls.
Fresno State Graduation Cake
The picture is taken from a generous angle. 10, 8, 6" square cakes. From this angle cake looked awesome. MMF, MMF red polka dots (I made myself!!) and royal icing string work. One corner in the back sloped way down.... I had put the whole thing on my silver cake stand, only to realize I needed the cake stand for a wedding I was doing and had to MOVE the thing onto a white wilton 16" cake plate.... And the 16" plate BOWED! So the whole cake buckled on the bottom from moving it and the bowing of the plate.
Okay, not really a mothers day cake, but it could be and Mothers day is tomorrow. For a Bridal Shower. This was really fun to make. 10in and 6in. Marbled MMF on the cake. MMF fence and flowers. Color Flow butterflies and buttercream clouds. I used the wilton flower stamens for the antenna on the butterflies.
Blue Polka Dots
This cake was made for a baby boy Christening. They gave me carte blanche to do whatever I wanted... so here is what I came up with! 10 and 8 inch
Upclose picture of the Tinkerbell.... I got the decopac Tinkerbell from my cake supply store and liked the image that came with the Decopac catalog I pretty much copied it directly.
I am loving my blossom cutter. (I sell the cutters, so I tried them to see if they were any good, these are one of my new favorites!!!)
10" Chocolate cake, 3 dozen cupcakes and an individual Tinkerbell cake for the birthday girl. Decorated the Tinkerbell pretty much exactly as they have it on decopac. The Tink cake and the cupcakes are marbled white, pink and green. (food coloring in the batter)
Round Hispanic Wedding
5 tiers (plus a free 6th to save... it is in my freezer right now). Each tier is a different flavor and filling. I handmade blue beads out of MMF to make the border. A family friend did all the flowers and greenery.
Cassandra Engagement Party
10" and 8" square. Bride to be supplied the ribbon and flowers. I think flowers make a cake look fantastic. Rich's bettercreme frosting (ivory color) with chocolate mousse filling... actually I used the chocolate bettercreme mixed with chocolate creme filling - AMAZING!!! I put one large serving spoon thunk of the chocolate creme in with a kitchenaid bowl of the chocolate bettercreme.
Pink And Brown Harlequin Funky Bridal Cake
SOB! I couldn't use the van today so I put this on the front seat of my car... stupid! It isn't as flat as it looks and it slid off the cardboard. I doweled i really good, but it still fell sideways. I was able to prop it back up, but not 100% of it's original glory. French vanilla cake, strawberry filling, strawberry flavored MMF.
Suppose to be a tasting cake, but it is for a friend and they were having a wedding planning party so I went a little (or a lot) overboard. But get this, she never gave me the address of where to take it and I only had her work number! So she never got the cake :( I gave it away at church...
Lindsey Baby Shower Cake
To match the theme of the room. They have butterfly bedding at Target so I made the flowers and butterfly to match.
"simple And Classic"
The bride wanted a simple and classic design... So I covered in MMF and used royal icing to make the stringwork. When I got there she had only left a flower bouquet from Costco so I could put flowers on the cake, but no ribbon! After a phone call they said the ribbon was in the back room and this monster ribbon was the only one there. Came out nice though :) Turns out it was the wrong ribbon, but she liked it anyway... and it was all there was!
