My 3 year old great nephew wanted a cowboy cake for his birthday. Well, he actually wanted an "Outlaw Jose Wales" cake, but this is what he got. LOL Funfetti WASC cake w/ vanilla and sprinkles BC filling. All decorations are fondant. The boots were kind of crappy, but it was my first attempt. I used the great pattern I found here =)

For my 5 year old great nephew :-) The bottom layer is strawberry w/ strawberry filling, the top is white cake w/ blueberry filling. All BC icing, with fondant decorations. The topper is a fondant etch-a-sketch and store bought toys. :-) This was fun to do, but it took me forever!! LOL

I made this for my MIL's church fundraiser. She gave me free reign on the theme, which I LOVE, so I decided on Noah's Ark :-) Chocolate cake, strawberry filling, BC icing. Decorations are all fondant. (Ark is RKT covered in fondant).

This is my first animal print cake. My step sister's sweet little girl called me late last night and asked if I would make a zebra print cake for her mom's b-day. eek! I told her I'd try. She wanted to pay me for it, I couldn't stand the thought of taking that baby's money, but she insisted, so I charged her $5. LOL Fench Vanilla WASC with BC. Stripes and roses are fondant.
My dad is diabetic, so I didn't want to make him an actual cake for his b-day, so I made him cupcakes instead :-) I kept it really simple, but it's also sentimental for us. Stories behind the "floppy orange hat and one oar, for instance. LOL He liked it :-) Key Lime cupcakes with lime cream cheese frosting, fondant fisherman and fish and fondant covered cake board. First of all, thank you to JaneK for your BEAUTIFUL fondant work! It was my inspiration, and mine is no where NEAR as lovely as yours, but I drooled, oo'd and ahh'd over your picture all night tonight :oD I made this topper for my niece's birthday. She's a huge horse fan, and has one of her own, so I thought she'd enjoy a horse b-day cake :o) She was amazed at her mom's cake I made (spa cake in my pics) so I hope she's just as amazed at this one. :o) Thanks for looking!! I made this for my mom's 61st b-day :oD She loved it. (Remember that movie, Full Monty?? She loved that, too LOL) I thought it was kind of cute, but of course, I see ALLLLL kinds of things I didn't do quite right. Anyhoo, just thought I'd share! I welcome your comments/suggestions! :o) ~Ashley
This one's not as cool as some of the other awesome grill cakes on this site, but I had to keep it simple :-) (and then there's the whole not as talented thing. LOL) Anyhoo, fondant grill (that broke :-p), burger patty and hotdogs, fondant "toppings", BC icing. 8" chocolate cake with peanut butter BC filling. YUM!
I made this for a boy at my hubby's work. He looooooves hunting! :) This didn't turn out exactly as I had envisioned. I had a bugger of a time getting the antlers to stay on his head! So they're not in the position I wanted them to be :-p First time camo cake for me. Thanks for all the inspiration and tips CC members! (especially KHalstead :-) ) I'd like to do another one, and do it better. This was fun! WASC w/ strawberry filling, BC camo and fondant deer and bushes.
Here's my mom's Mother's Day cake. She loves miniature tea sets, so I figured she could use one in fondant ;-) She kept them to take to work to show everyone. The cake, however, is long gone :-D Lemon variant of the WASC cake with raspberry jam and plain BC.
My finished frog centerpiece for a friend's shower :) Cupcakes are WASC with BC and chocolate BC. Frogs and centerpiece are all fondant. Lilypad is fondant over styrofoam.
I've seen baby bum cakes on CC and drooled over them, thinking they're just the cutest things EVER! And I finally had an opportunity to try one! Yay! This was for a baby shower at work yesterday. Everyone seemed to love it! Booty is RKT covered in fondant, legs, blanket and "stuffed" turtle are fondant. They're doing the nursery in frogs and turtles so I wanted to incorporate that into the cake. :)
Here's the main cake for the Rubber Ducky party :) I even did a rubber ducky themed baby shower for this boy. He loves his ducks! I guess he liked the shower decorations ;) "soap" is fondant. All else is BC.
One of my first cakes. Bleh. This was before I discovered the icing tip. LOL But it turned out ok :) It was for a friend's little boy. I'll be making him a Cars cake next month! All BC except for the "soap", which is fondant.
I made this for a friend a few years ago. It was actually my first "big" cake. The stars and numbers are fondant (idea from Wilton) the Auburn emblem is an edible image I ordered and the graduation cap is fondant. :)

I made it for my sis. She kept teasing me that I didnât make her a b-day cake, so I made her âchillinââ in a hot tub and told her âChill, woman! Hereâs your dang cake!!â Haha! I thought it was funny, anyway! I'm still not very good making people, but this one was a blast to make! I had so much fun! The tray with a martini, crackers and cheese are my fav! :)
