Office Birthdays
The client called this order in tonight (6 PM) for tomorrow so I quickly made this cake - not my best but it will do - I used some royal icing practice flowers I had on hand for emergencies and used leftover icing from another cake! Oh well, hope they like it. I could have been more creative with a bit more notice!

Baby Blessing Cake For Twins
A friend had twins and they are belssing them this weekend so she asked me to make a cake and gave me creative license - YAY! It is a 10 in and 6 in - The 10 in is chocolate sour cream cake with bavarian cream filling and the 6 in is WASC with raspberry buttercream filling. It was a fun one to make!

Small Wedding Cake
This cake was done for my brother's wedding - I only had one week notice to do it and the wedding was family only so there is a 6 inch strawberry cake with strawberry mousse filling and a 10 inch chocolate with chocolate mousse filling. They are both covered in fondant and wrapped in ribbon. The roses are fresh - this was my first wedding cake!

Schoolhouse Birthday
This was made for a little girl's 6th birthday. She wanted a school theme and asked specifically for a school cake. This was challenging and I wasn't sure what I was doing most of the time but I am happy with how it turned out. Now if I can get it to them in one piece, I will be having a good day!

Husband's Birthday Cake
Not one of my best - second time trying FBCT and this time on an ice cream cake. I made the ice cream cake at home and decorated it since my hubby doesn't like cake (go figure). It was 3 layers of ice cream (butter pecan, Nestle Crunch, and cookie dough) and two layers of brownies. I learned that it is difficult to get icing on an ice cream cake smooth because it starts to melt as you are frosting! Also, the FBCT doesn't have time to melt into the the icing since you can't leave it out without melting!

Tio Robert's Cake
This is a Basic 1-2-3-4 Cake with Dulce de Leche filling and buttercream icing - I was very excited because this was my first ever FBCT and I was so nervous it wouldn't be done right but I think it went well - My uncle is a chef and this guy looks like a caricature of him so I can't wait to give it to him this afternoon!

Pink Polka Dot Fun
I decorated this cake in about 45 minutes (I was in a hurry once again) for a silent auction at my church. I didn't go to the auction but rumor has it people loved it and fought over it. It was a sour cream yellow cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate cheese icing. The polka dots were done with the crusting cream cheese icing!

Jasmine's Smash Cake
Here is my daughter's smash cake - I wish I could post a picture of her eating it! It was so cute. It was also White Almond Sour Cream cake (6 inch) with crusting cream cheese filling and Chocolate Cheese icing. I made the drawing on the cake freehand (my first time) and I was pleased. The eyelashes turned out a bit too big due to the icing being soft (as I have a broken AC in the house!) . Other than that, so fun to make!

Jasmine's First Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my daughter's first birthday - it was a White Almond Sour Cream cake with Chocolate Cheese filling and Crusting Cream Cheese icing. It was delicious - I had a mishap the first time I made the cake. I was almost done and I went to turn it and it fell off the table! I was so upset and horrified...I had to start over and the finished product turned out well! I am proud - and check out the smash cake I mad eot match the theme!

Ugh - So Many Problems!
So again, I am having an off weekend - this cake had so many problems, you may not be able to tell but the raspberry is leaking out of the buttercream (I was in a hurry and didn't level it, I thought it was level enough - won't do that again). It also moved so much as I was frosting it, the torted layers were all over the place, I was surprised it didn't fall over - thank goodness it was just to take to my mom's house for dinner. Again it is White Almond Sour Cream cake with buttercream raspberry filling

Daisy Baptism Cake
I am not happy with this cake - I think I had an off weekend. It isn't centered correctly and it is lopsided for some reason (the customer liked it but I felt she got a sub par creation). It is the White Almond Sour Cream cake (so tasty by the way) with chocolate Bavarian Cream on top and raspberry & buttercream on the bottom layer. I really wish it had turned out better...

Graduation Cake Of My Own Design!
This is the first cake I made from my own imagination - it is a a 12X12 chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and BC. The graduation cap is a candy mold with Royal icing decorations and the flowers are also Royal Icing. This cake was a gift for a friend of mine - she loved it!

Jungle Cupcakes
I will never make these again unless I charge $5 a cupcake. I charged the guy $2.50 a cake and they took me forever and they still didn't come out how I wanted. Candy doating the bottom of a cupcake and getting it to be smooth is near impossible. The details on the face were hard too!

Easter Lily Cake
This was my final cake for course III Wilton - I used the design for a 6 inch round in the course book but made it into a 2 tier design. Lilies are royal icing. If I made this cake again I would put the top layer directly on the bottom and add more lilies on the 10 inch cascading down. I would also figure out a way to make my lines straighter - this is what happens when you don't measure!
