We used to do this one all the time at Publix bakery. Airbrushed effects with "silly string" sides as confetti. A simple easy birthday cake for anybody! (butter cream icing)
Made this one just a little while ago using ideas from all you folks! Sandals, towels, and ball are all fondant. Sand is vanilla wafers and brown sugar. Ocean is airbrushed.
The photo itself is terrible, Im sorry. But you get the idea- it's a sunflower because the lady it was for was such a cheerful and bright person.
Just playing around with some ideas for flowers and here's what I got.
I had made a batch of cookies, and had so many left over, I thought it would be cute to just stick them on the cake. Looks kinda funny, but it was just for the office at work. I'm still learning and experimenting alot.
One of my first cakes made at home. As you can tell the flowers are not stiff and are falling a little bit. I didn't use enough sugar in the buttercream, so this is what I got. Lesson learned!!
The photo is a little blurry, but you get the idea. Made with buttercream on a 6" cake.
Never made these flowers before, so it was a bit of an experiment. They loved it though!
