Teddy Bear Baby Shower Cake
This is a baby shower cake for a co-worker who is having a boy. I chose to use the small Wilton bear pan. I tried to use the grass tip for the fur, but it did not stick so I used the small star tip. The blocks, baby and rattle were made with Marzipan and the baby's blanket with fondant.

Noah's Ark Baby Shower Cake
This cake was for my friends baby shower and I used her noah's ark baby shower invitation to work from. This was my first attempt at sculpting. I used marzipan for the animals and fondant for the rest of the cake except I put buttercreme waves inbetween the fondant white cap waves. I have only been making cakes for a very short time, but thanks to all of the cake artists on this site I had great examples to work from! You are all fabulous! Someday I hope to be as good!!!!

I've only been doing this for a few months. This was my first time sculpting with fondant. I thought it would be hard to sculpt a baby, but it was the easiest thing about the cake. Thank you Misdawn...it was her cake that inspired me to make this one even though I got a little carried away with the clouds! Everyone at the baby shower loved it. I used BC on the cake and Royal Icing stars. Thanks everyone for all your beautiful cakes that continously inspire me to keep creating!!!

My first fondant cake. The top decorations and the beads around the base are all fondant. I found the fondant to be really tough when it came time to eat the cake. I think I might have kneaded it for too long when I was adding the color. Anyway, everyone loved the way it looked. Especially with the gold luster dust.
