Heaven Sent - Baby Shower Cake
This cake was solely inspired by "diane" who made the most adorable baby cake ever, thank you! It was for a teacher who was having her first baby. This is a chocolate WASC cake with cookies n' cream filling, iced in butter cream with fondant accents (stars are brushed with opaque cake sparkles).

Strawberry Pirouette Cake
I have been wanting to make one of these forever and I finally got my chance! It was so nice to not have to smooth butter cream! =) It is a white cake with strawberry puree and butter cream filling (6 alternate layers) topped with vanilla butter cream. I surrounded it with the French Vanilla Pirouette cookies and topped with chocolate covered strawberries. So good - everyone LOVED it!

Wilton Course Ii Final Cake
This is four layer WASC cake with coconut mango filling (just trying it out). I wasn't able to go to my last class so I just did it myself at home. Iced all in butter cream and flowers are royal icing. I didn't use ALL the flowers I made in my class, I thought I would save them for a real cake someday!

Choo Choo Train
This was for my son's 2nd birthday. I got lots of great ideas from this website so THANK YOU to anyone that posted a train cake on here! Sculpted engine from "cake in a tin can" and a loaf pan. Cars are from mini loaf pans. Track and coal are black Twizlers, logs are chocolate covered pretzle rods, Oreo/M&M wheels, ice cream cone smoke stack. WASC cake with Oreo cookie filling. This was fun to make and my son LOVED it!!! Thanks for looking!

We'll Miss You
This was a cake for a friend's Nanny who was retiring. It is a 4-layer cake; 2 layers WASC with raspberry filling and the other two layers chocolate WASC with raspberry filling. I used butter cream to divide the van./choc. layers to cut the tartness. It is iced in butter cream with chocolate ganache piping. First time piping with ganache, I loved it!

Beer Stein
For hubby's birthday! First attempt at making MMF for accents - came out too soft and was hard to work with (hence some of the droopiness). Really had trouble with the handle as well. Cake was 4 - 6" rounds, stacked, WASC orange cake with orange BC (hence all the little zest specks) Coat of Arms/Crest was hubby's family name...man was it hard to make a lion!

I, Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Icecream!
This was for my son's 2nd birthday (which he shared with his little friend). This was made for a little playgroup party we had, simple and darn cute! Made one square cake and one round and cut each in half to make ice cream and cones. All butter cream, with sprinkles and cherry. The kids loved it!

Anniversary Cake - Tuscany
This is my first "real" cake, made for a 50th Wedding Anniversary, a Tuscan theme. I am pretty happy with it aside from some much needed practice on the scroll work! It is all done in butter cream and the flowers are silk. The scrolls were painted with gold dust and vanilla, can't really see it in the picture. The layers are: choc. with raspberry, WASC with raspberry and choc. buttermilk with fudge. THANK YOU to all my new CC friends that helped a rookie like me make a fashionable yet edible cake!
