Lisa & Andy's Wedding Cake
This is my first cake with scroll work and royal icing. I was very pleased with how well it turned out. I was also impressed with how well the cake held up since it was a 85 degree August day and the lodge was not air conditioned.
I made this for a friend for his B-day. He told me he wasn't much of a cake person but he loved this not just because of the shape but he liked how it tasted too.
Amber's Graduation Cake
This was for a coworkers daughter for her graduation party. She loved it so much she wouldn't let them cut it until everyone was getting mad about not getting cake! Amber gave me the name of Lady Cakz after seeing this cake.
1St Castle Cake
I made this for a co workers daughter for her b-day, she loves the disney princesses. This is before the princesses were added.
Nate & Muriel's Wedding Cake 3
This is the cake once it was cut the middle layer is a lemon cake colored lime green, the bottom is a white chocolate raspberry colored hot pink. The bride wanted the color to "pop" when the cake was cut. I think it added a little of her personality to the cake.
Nate & Muriel's Wedding Cake 2
This is the back with the state of Ohio. They wanted a pink heart for Columbus.
Nate & Muriel's Wedding Cake
This is only the second wedding cake I have done, it was for my brothers wedding. The wedding was completely black & white with hot pink and lime green accents. They asked for the Columbus skyline on the front and the state of Ohio on the back (in the following pics). It wasn't perfect but the LOVED it!
Duff's Roses 2
I was doing a test recipe and had left over colored fondant so I thought I'd give them a try. I love them!
This is the first time I've done these roses. They were so simple but look great! I will never do icing roses again (not that I could get them to come out anyway!)
Muriel's Shower Cake
This cake I did for my soon to be SIL. The teapot actually slid overnight and I had to recover it. It's not as nice as I had hoped but no one seemed to notice.
Beach Theme Wedding 2
This is the top of the cake. I put the bride and grooms initials in the "sand". The shells are butter mints that I made.
Beach Theme Wedding
This is my first wedding cake. I was a bit over zealous but it all worked out. I will never do an offset cake on a pedestal again! I was sure the kids would knock it over. The flowers are silk which the bride picked up for the cake. The "sand" is natural cane sugar.
Package Cake 1
This cake I did for a bridal shower. My first time with Wilton fondant. I had to add a whole bottle of butter flavoring to get it to taste decent.
