Golf
This was inspired by a cake I found here on Cake Central. I had purchased a golf cake kit at teh grocery store and added it to this cake. B/C frosting on chocolate cake. I used tinted piping gel for the water. This was a lot of fun to make. My friend just asked me to make a birthday cake for her dh with no specifics. She had mentioned he liked golf!

Teapot Cake
This was made for a friend who was having a tea party for her daughter's 6th birthday. I used the Pampered Chef Classic Batter Bowl to bake the cake. B/C frosting with MMF spout, handle, and lid. The spout was a bit heavy so I had to use a prop to hold it in place. I made extra cupcakes in matching colors to be sure there was enough cake for everyone.

Tonka Construction Cake
This was for my son's 5th birthday. I compiled a few different ideas from other contributor's on this site to put this one together. I made a choc/wht swirl cake shaped into the #5 with B/C frosting. I used crumbled chocolate cake for the loose dirt and chocolate frosting for the muddy area. Another of my favs.

Geisha Cake
This was for a little girl who loves the Japanese culture. I wish I had a better picture of the cake, but they came early to pick it up as I was finishing. Needless to say I forgot to take my own picture. This is the picture she e-mailed to me later. I searched a simple picture of a geisha to transfer onto the cake with piping gel. I am not good at facial features so this was a very simple attempt. I cut small pieces of wooden kabob sticks for her hair piece and used B/C for the rest fo the design.

Rubber Duck Baby Shower Cake
This was for my friend's baby shower. I used fondant for the "bubbles" and B/C frosting for the beaded border. Chocolate cake on the top layer and white cake for the bottom layer. I had to borrow the rubber duck from another friend of mine, I never knew how hard it was to find a rubber duck on Okinawa! It was kind of difficult trying to get the top edges smooth. I usualy do a border on the top of my cakes as well for this reason! I covered some of the imperfections with the "bubble" clusters.

Hollywood Theme Birthday Cake
This was the cake I made for my daughter's 10th birthday. I used the centerpiece from the birthday decorations I had purchased and cut out the "ticket" from the invitations and fit them on the cake. I used Food coloring spray for the red carpet and did a black and white rope border. This was an idea from another user of this website and I loved the idea! Thank you. This is one of my favorites and it was so easy!

Gymnastics Birthday Cake
This was for a friend's daughter who is a gymnast. I found a basic picture to do as I am not talented at doing facial features! The border is off a bit because the weather was quite humid and areas of the shell border were smashed when I covered it. It did not match perfectly when I had to redo it. Chocolate cake w/ buttercream frosting.

Paintball Birthday Cake
Another attempt at fondant shapes. A friend was having a paintball birthday party for her son and asked if I could make a paintball cake. I had to look up pictures of paintball guns! The gun is fondant and the paint splatters are buttercream frosting with corresponding gumballs for the paintball pellets. Chocolate cake with B/C frosting.
