WASC cake covered in mmf I airbrushed with a pearl sheen. This is my first attempt at drapes, I was suppose to use a topper but it didn't get ordered so I had to use some of my flowers last minute for the top that is why it looks a bit empty. Thanks for looking.
This was made for a Dexter fan for her 30th, I also LOVE Dexter so I had fun making this cake. The glass slides are made from gelatin, they keep wanting to curl up on me, maybe its the humidity, idk. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could have been used to make the glass other than gelatin? Thanks to Charmed and Loucinda for their suggestions when I asked for help with the gelatin :)
I made this dragon cake for my son who asked for a red dragon. I copied a cake I found from Mikes Amazing Cakes. I used a wreath hanger screwed to a board to support the head(I covered the entire hanger in gumpaste and made the head with gumpaste also) , the wings are sugarveil and the dragon is covered in fondant painted with a sheen airbrush paint. I made this for my niece she is going to be 6 tomorrow. The bow and name are sugarveil and this was the first thing I have ever made with it and I am hooked. The topper is all gum paste with a Styrofoam base. I asked for help with a choc. fondant and Michellers told me she makes candy clay and then mixes it with fondant so that is what I did and it turned out fantastic the fondant was so smooth and easy to work with, thanks so much.
