My first crack at the "sports ball" cake. Decided to make a Christmas ornament out of it. Buttercream icing smoothed with wrapping tissue paper instead of the viva method. Worked out pretty good. Made my own gold piping gel with gold dust, and piping gel.

This was a quickie that I made for a last minute request for a friend. I used the Chocolate butter cake recipe from Bakershouse book and a scrumptious buttercreram icing. Yumm!
I entered this cake in a local contest, my 1st ever. I placed 2nd! There were some beautiful cakes there... I did not take the photo till we were home with it. After dragging it though the mall and back home in 93 degree temps. My MMF was sagging but it held up long enough to take the pic ;-) All the decorations were done in BC.
This is made from the Whimsical Bakehouse Book. LOVE this book! Cake is made with the White Butter Cake recipe with lemon mousse filling and House buttercream. The cake has a tilt to it on the top which totally threw off the hubby. He though that I messed it up, I said, NO! Thats how it is suppose to look ;-) The book was worth every penny spent on it. (~.^)
This is my 2nd attempt at the chocolate paper. Very fun to work with. I have a pound cake with cream chees in the mix, a layer of buttercream frosting and sealed with the chocolate paper.
This is a pound cake with cream cheese in the mix. Ymmmmm. It is also my first attempt at using the "chocolate paper." With a layer of buttercream frosting under the chocolate paper. The decorations are the chocolate paper and buttercream frosting.
This is just your basic cheesecake with sourcream recipe with a buttercream decorated icing. The flowers are my first attempt with gumpast, man, you have to work fast with it to prevent drying to soon....
This is a picture of my Valentine cookies I made from the "No Fail recipe". Loved it ;-) I used a poured fondant and royal icing to decorate them.
This is a picture of my first attempt at the buttercream fondant. It really tasted great, but found that it was a tiny bit on the "greasy" side. It also made it difficult to shape the ribbons and all, but I am sure with a little adjusting the recipe it will be good. The shape was made by using a square pan and a round pan. Cutting the round in half and sitting each half upon the sides of the square pan.
This is a cheesecake that I made with a graham crust and a coating of chocolate ganache and marshmallow fondant. My first one! Also my first listing with y'all ;-)
