This is a cake I just completed. It is a 12" WASC and 8" chocolate fudge. I thought it looked strange with nothing on top so I added the daisies. That's all I could come up with :). Other than not being able to get the icing smooth, I'm happy with it. TFL.
This is a cake I did for a dear coworker who turned 50 Sunday. It was my first time ever trying a 3D cake. It is 3 6 in tiers. Learned some lessons :). Wasn't thrilled with the icing. I used sam's bettercreme and put it in the fridge to crust faster and it didn't crust. Parchment and viva stuck to the icing. I was able to smooth it out better than what it is in the picture after i left it on the cabinet for a while. Unfortunately the bottom tier decided to give out on the way to work.
This is a 1/2 sheet white cake with butterceam icing I made yesterday. Maybe one day I'll be able to write straight :). Thanks PinkPiggie for the inspiration. TFL

Chocolate cake with rolled chocolate buttercream icing. Working with the rolled buttercream was interesting. It cracked really bad when I was in class. I was able to redo some things once I got home.
This is my first cake for this class and really my 2nd time working with fondant. Back when I took course 3 they didn't cover making roses and bows. The cake is covered in bc.
This is cake I did for my best friend friend from college baby shower, hence the UT colors. I didn'tget a chance to get anything to go on top like I wanted so I just did a blanket. Not too bad since I just started decorating again and got some bad news while making the cake. I took course 1-3 back in 2002. Or course I got the idea from looking a the pics on this site.
