Poker Table Cake
This was fun to do. I used chocolate coins that I melted slightly under the broiler to get them smooth. The "paint" was melted pastel mints to create the chips. It was my first attempt at buttercream transfers. My husband is a huge poker guy, so I wanted to give him a special cake for his birthday. The icing is not as smooth as I wanted but again, one of my first attempts.

Dinosaur Egg In Nest
This was an extremely forgiving cake. I used a bundt pan and baked an extra cupcake to place in the center to create the "nest". Fondant for the dinosaur, the egg, and a few leaves... Chocolate "rocks" all around the "ground". My son had it in his head he wanted a dinosaur egg cake, and by golly, he got it!

Bridal Shower Gift Cake
I used the prepackaged Wilton Fondant. Ooh, that tastes awful! But, with the buttercream frosting layer below the guests were still very pleased with the taste of the cake. I used a pasta machine to flatten the pieces for the ribbon and the noodle setting for the scroll work pieces.
