It's A Jungle Out There!!!
This is a dummy cake I made inspired by my 3-year old. She loves green and animals, and I thought maybe brides and grooms in touch with their wild, playful side might enjoy it too! I covered the cake in fondant and then used a chocolate transfer on the sides. I hand-painted green on the top and bordered the edge with the small rose leaf cutter. Thanks for looking!

Kipper The Dog
This is a little cake I made for our daughter's who both love Kipper. I made it using two 8" rounds, but you could use oval cakes just as well. I sculpted the basket and covered the sides in fondant and then piped basket-weave over the top. Kipper is just fondant, but you could use rice-crispies. Based on the Kipper in one of Debbie Brown's books

The top is 8" Fuzzy navel Pound cake with homemade peach filling and orange buttercream. The 10" is Chocolate fudge cake with homemade raspberry filling and chocolate ganache. The made the Hydrangeas using the cutter and veiner in blue, then dusted the edges with Fushia petal dust. The piping design is taken from a diamonte iron-on t-shirt transfer.

Jlp Board Meeting Cake
This is a Chocolate fondant cake I made for a friend who was going to her first Junior League of Portland meeting as President, boy was she popular. I make my own milk chocolate fondant from wilton fondant and color it to look like dark, because it tastes better! It has fondant beads done with a bead cutter; first time I've used it, but I don't like the line it creates. The scrolls are a Stephen Benison cutter.

Choclate Fonant Flower Cake
Gumpaste fantasy flowers with sugar spinkles in center. I hand piped a design I got from a lampshade in my daughter's room. I tried to trace, but it was easier just to freehand it. Milk choclate cake with fudge icing and milk chocloate fondant made from white fondant, black/brown color, milk chocolate and light corn syrup. Served it at school for morning tea and got 5 cake orders!

Law School Graduation
Book cake that I did for a guy that just graduated Law school. His parents got it for him, and the figure on top is made out of fondant and looks just like the guy. It has the school emblem, and some gold roping on it. I aged the cake with cinnamon petal dust to look like leather. The cake is light pound with vanilla buttercream.
