These cakes took three people to make. We used two sheet cakes for the bases and two 9in round cakes for the hearts. We cut the round cakes into hearts by tracing a heart onto the bottom of the cake. The pink buttercream frosting was colored using witon rose. We made 32 royal icing roses and about 30 rosebuds two days ahead of time. After placing the roses on the 4 cakes, we filled in any open spaces with rose buds and buttercream leaves. The heart cakes are placed ontop of the cake with round cake tiers.
This cake was made for my cousin's 2nd birthday. I used the wilton care bear cake mold. The care bear frosting is with leaf green although it called for kelly green. The rainbow used the following colors: sky blue, yellow, super red. The toughest part of this cake is the logo on the belly. I had a really hard time making a four leaf clover on the stomach, as you can see. This was my second care bear cake and it came out a lot better than my first one.
I made this cake for a family reunion. I used a sheet cake pan with two cake mixes. I used sky blue coloring for the top of the cake and white for the border and the sides. To make the branches I used chocolate frosting. Each family member's name is written on a Nilla cookie with black frosting. I ended up making two cakes to fit everyone's name onto the cakes.
I made this cake for my godson's 6th birthday. I used the wilton power ranger cake mold. To make the red ranger I used Christmas Red and Red Red wilton coloring.
