This is a cake I did for my husbands co worker. It is 2 11x15 cakes (1 choc and 1 van) placed end to end. This I can honestly say is an original...not any money cakes on here that I could find. This is what they requested so I had to make it up as I went along! It was fun though.
11x15 for a dinner at my nursing school tomorrow! This is my contribution. All buttercream except tweezers. Those are made of fondant.Man is put on by FBCT and smoothed to match cake (well, kinda!) Pieces are piped on as well as words. A lot of fun making this one!

Baby Shower cake for a friend from church. Mostly fondant and buttercream. very simple to make. Idea came from anoth CCer. Thanks to whom ever it was...I love this design and so did everyone at the party!

11x15 cake for our AWANA club at church. Theme was Happy Birthday Jesus. With some help for ideas from this site...sorry I can't remember who. Cake was a confetti cake ( I didn't buy the mix, it was donated) with butter cream icing and fondant figures. One of my more fun cakes. It was free for them and fun for me so everyone benefitted!!
Here is the close up of Bobby jack. You can see the lines where I filled it in. I'm not sure how to fix them but I will practice more! I still think he turned out cute!
i was told there wa no theme for my nieces B-Day so I could surprise her. Knowing that I wanted to try a FBCT, I sketched a picture of her favorite character, Bobby jack. She loved him and I was impressed with my first FBCT. I found these Wilton sprinkles and I thought they looked like multi-colored bananas! I was exstatic. There are some lines showing but over all went well!
Pumkin is made out of 3, 8 inch layers with 6 inch lid shaved to give better shape. Flowers, indian corn and cattails are made from royal icing. Ghost is MMF. Everything else is buttercream icing. Very fun to make!
My nephew had a casino party, joint party with a friend from school. Buttercream icing with MMF shapes. This was inspireed by 2 different cakes here on CC. Forgive me that I can't remember who. I got rave reviews...the whole middle section was left over due to 70+ guests not showing...as I was walking out the door, parents were picking up their children and the heads were turning abd jaws were dropping, made me feel good...1st stacked cake and I was nervous!
Thanks to sue_dye for the inspiration for this one. I entered this into our local fair today. Three 8 inch layers with shaved 6 inch layer as lid. Royal flowers, indian corn and cattails. MMF ghost with food writers used for eyes. First time I actually made the "daisies" (brown eyed susies) the right way. I had to dowl the lid but since I had to have it "All Edible," I used a candy stick! I hope it holds it, it has to last a week on display! I wanted to use the Jack-o face but I thought it would be too much
okay, so this one was inspired by stvsbabygirl. My daughter saw it while I was looking for ideas for my fair project! She had to do it. She did so well! There were supposed to be vienna fingers standing up on the back row, but we had problems getting them to stay there so we just left them off. Chocolate cake with buttercream and chocolate fudge icing! Sprinkles, candy corn, icecream cone for hat, fruit by the foot for beard, Black fondant and gummy fruit! Entered into our local fair...2 days til results!
birthday cake for my SIL who also decorates...actually, she is the one who got me started. Overall, not bad. BC cover with royal flowers and hearts.
Max and Ruby Cake for my daughter's 3rd b-day...she was quite persistant and I was sure I couldn't do them. Ruby is easter bunny pan and Max is a store bought disposable from reynolds...not too bad and she loved them!
okay so this was my final for my wilton 3 class...it is all white cake with BC center and BC crumb cover. The white fondant is flavored with cheesecake flavoring and the pink with rasberry flavoring which also gave it it's pretty pink color. This was before I new about MMF.
Dino cake from character pan...for my cousin...this one was really fun and my extended family got to see my talent (or not) for the first time!
This one I did for a bridal shower for a friend. My first attempt at corneli lace but other than thaT, NOT BAD! I actually got an offer to do my first wedding cake at this shower but I turned it down!

Cake I did for a friends mom for her 50th b-day...she was so upset anout turning 50 that I couldn't even write in black! Decorated with sotas...pictures don't do it justice!
