the red circle around the dam was specially requested for this retirment cake. it was a very large cake and i forget how big it was. will have to dig in records. I used a photo online of Dworshak dam and mimicked the water flowing down.. Wilton plastic fish used in river.

Angel Love
I'm sorry these are so small; the full size pics are misplaced after all these years thats not suprising. I used a winnie the pooh pan; margarine tub lid coated with bc and edible glitter; real pansy from my garden placed in the angels hand and my step dad got my mom a new ring also placed in the angels hand. unseeable as the pics are too small.

Clearwater County Search And Rescue Organization
My father inlaw is a county sheriff in clearwater county and heads up the Search and Rescue org. I've done several cakes for them; two of this style but i'm missing one pic- and that one's my fave. the missing one had a black and yellow band on the side just below the top trim. I'll be sure to post it when i find it. its a two layer 14" cake; sewing appliques for eagle and fish; copied from the Search and Rescue's own seal. grass sprinkled with edible glitter and water- piping gel.

Ribbon Cake1
My father inlaw has a knack for calling me at the last minute for cakes for various occassions and this was no different lol. he said he didn't care what was on it just needed it in a couple hours. I love him to death he's a fantastic guy so i couldn't refuse. I found a couple packaging ribbons; used skittles for the trim on this one. not the prettiest cake but it worked in a pinch.

A Double Bear-Y Birthday
It was a birthday celebration for my aunt inlaw and grandmother-inla (grandma she says to call her so i does :)) this was my first shaped pan cake Ever done and i "twinned" it so not to have too much cake but to honor both. did not know about crumbcoating then as you can see- used a craft store stencil for belly flower :) I later used same theme for my twin step-sisters birthday only I laid the candles in the shape of 11 on each belly so that they were still "lightable"

My First Free Hand Butterfly Cake
Friend of a friend's daughter's birthday. requesteda butterfly but i did not have a pan for it. this was my first attempt to cut it from a 14" round. used powder color to shade the sugar that went on the butterfly's body and edible glitter for the wing coloration. I was just glad the girl liked it :)

BC frosting; rubbermaid "lid" used for cake base and the bottom of the container used for cake "lid" had to package it this way because it was being transported 4 hours out of my hands and around alot of kids; makes a great cake carrier!
