I tried to make this cake look like one I saw on the Charm City Cakes website. It was for my Hubby's b-day. It was my first cake made to look like it wasn't a cake. The biggest compliment I got was when someone asked why there was a box of cigars on the table.
Here is the other cake I made for Rachie's Birthday Bash. This one was for the birthday dinner, and the big one was for the after party at the nightclub.
Well, her name is Rachael, hence the rhinestone "R" The rhinestones are not edible, you can buy them by the yard at the craft store.
This was actually a birthday cake, but it looks like a wedding cake. That's what she wanted... This was my very first cake ever! My first to be torted, filled, frosted, covered in fondant, stacked, and decorated. I literally stayed up all night the day before it was due. Since it was my first, I had no idea of what time line I should be using. But it was worth it, and after that sleepless night, equally sleepless day and up again the next night for the party, I was completely hooked on making cakes
This was for my niece, who's name is Rose. The cake is decorated in fondant with some luster dust. The topper is a tinkerbell that was purchased and the rose was made by me out of white chocolate. (I can't get the picture rotated, sorry.)
This is a cake I made for a charity luncheon at Golden Gate Park for their annual Polo in the Park fund raiser. The cake itself was white cake with Raspberry Cream filling & Mexican-Chocolate buttercream under the fondant. Not sure if you can see the silver dragees on the quilting on the second tier & also in the white "grass" under the trees. Trees & some of the blue fondant were painted gold.
