I learned how to do this from Nicholas Lodge at the Great Lakes Mini Classes! It's a 6" dummy cake using various coral and sea themed molds and cutters.

This was my first attempt at a chocolate transfer. It's a FV cake with FV Mousse filling, covered in fondant and bc writing.

This was yellow cake with chocolate bc filling. It was my first attempt at vines and sweet peas on a cake.
I did my best to get it smooth, but the buttercream was driving me crazy! I wanted to use fondant but I could not get it black. Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, fondant accents and a licorice twizzler as the controller cord.
The tiers did not sit on each other perfectly and I had to live with the fondant repair job on the bows. I was distraught and even more upset by the fact that we had to completely set up our cake table. The caterers had not even laid out the table cloth yet! Then we had to help the coordinator bring in the favors and other decorations for the reception. They wanted us to stay and help finish decorating the hall! I was such an emotional wreck that I politely declined.
The tiers were red velvet w/marshmallow cream cheese filling on the bottom, rum cake with silky smooth buttercream, yellow cake with silky smooth buttercream and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. You can tell that 2 of the bows on the front fell off when I arrived and set up at the site and I had to try and fill in with the same colored fondant that I covered the cake in. Also, when I stacked the cakes, they didn't line up correctly so I had to be creative so that the bows lined up.
Cake was finally perfectly smoothed and round until I put in the box. Accidently smushed the side of cake and tried to smooth it out as best I could.
I was messing around and made this cake at the last minute for a friend's birthday. I wanted to practice a recently learned technique. Chocolate cake with chocolate/bailey's buttercream icing.
Still need some work on icing on top of crumb coat
