Bass Guitar
I bought the Wilton guitar pan but decided to carve the cake myself instead. Good thing since all the cake got eaten and this one was much bigger than the pan. Pretty happy with most of it except the frets. They are a bit wonky. The strings are uncooked spaghetti noodles covered with silver luster dust.

Cinderella/bolt Cake
My niece wanted a Bolt and a Cinderella cake so I made Bolt pulling her carriage and the little hamster driving. Cake is buttercream except the carriage which is covered in fondant. The Bolt characters I made by hand from polymer clay. The Cinderella is store bought. There were lots of minor disasters on this cake but fortunately most of them could be covered up. : )

Wrestling Cake
This is a cake I did for a couple where the groom was a semi pro wrestler. The cake is supposed to look the crowd ropes and the topper to look like a wrestling ring. The cake was a hit but by the time it was cut it had begun to slant in one direction. It was 95 degrees here in MN today though. The topper is made out of polymer clay

Gumpaste Glider
My husband flies radio controlled gliders so for his birthday I made this from gumpaste. It was quite challenging as it was my first attempt at gumpaste sculpting. I attached the two outer orange parts of the wings with royal icing and sat them on top of the handles of two steak knives so they would be angled up. I used a new nail file to smooth it all down

Cave Couple Cake
The couple had a cave man and woman on the invitation that read "Mandi became giddi when Joe gave her the big rock!" So I made the cake look a little "rocky" Buttercream icing and those are Malted Milk balls around the edges and I made the topper out of polymer clay. Fun one to make!!!
