this is a potential wedding cake design for a bride, dummy cakes carved into shape covered in fondant. the colors are a pale pink with mulberry colored roses with a few glass wired beads... first time using drapes on a cake. Hope she likes it as i would love to do this as a real wedding cake.. TFL...
this is the finished christening cake, i posted the bootie and giraffe earlier in the week.. i decided to add a few extra decorations, choc mud cake iced in c hoc ganache then covered in fondx... i put this in the baby shower gallery as i thought is was appropriate for a baby shower aswell...

been working on this one for a while, its a dummy cake that i cut and carved to get the shapes, its covered in 2 layers of fondant to get a smooth surface (dont look to close though..lol), my next mission is to make this out of real cake and hope it dont fall apart. i am hoping to display this at my local florist to bring in some wedding cake orders....
i have been trying to get these to look right for ages and i think i finally acheived the look i wanted.. yeah! the dummy its sitting on is a 5" round which will give an idea of how big it is....
last minute decision to make this cake for my daughter to give as a birthday gift to one of her friends tomorrow, when the girl is over at our house and i am doing a cake she would rather sit inside with me and watch, i know she wont have a decorated birthday cake at her party so i think she will be thrilled to get this one...

made this today for an 18th birthday cupcake display in 2 weeks, i used silver cake boards, white lace, hard plastic cups wrapped in white satin fabric, lots of hot glue and beaded ribbon.. may need to make some adjustments before I'm happy with it.. it looks much better than it does in the photo....

my first attempt at moth orchids, the color is raspberry ( something out of the ordinary)... i ordered some cutters and veiners a while ago, but just got the courage up today to try one, not sure about the centre part as i never got any instructions with the cutters....
