Thanks to Hockeymom, I was able to duplicate her idea of writing on the sides of the cake. I wrote the graduate's name over and over in different fonts along with 2006. The school crest is made of fondant with royal icing for the letters. White cake with strawberry filling and cream cheese icing. I'll post close ups of the top and sides. Thanks again Hockeymom!
My customer wanted something for a scuba diver's birthday....so here it is. The figures are made from fondant with gummy sharks swimming on the sides.
I made this for my grandaughter. The little girl and all the figures on top of the cake are made from fondant. Ribbon trim for bottom of both tiers.
Chocolate cake with fudge icing. The "Wheel" is made of air-brushed fondant! It was for a 82 year old lady. (I hope I still have a sense of humor when I reach my 80's!)
White buttercream with a pale blue undercoat showing thru on sides. I made the cross from royal icing and dusted it with silver.
