Lily Pink Bridal Shower
I really enjoyed doing this cake! I worked on the gumpaste flowers on & off thru the week. The cake is covered in fondant, the hanky is fondant that I handpainted a 'B' initial on. I hand rolled the fondant beads for the border below the pink silk ribbon. I wrapped the hat box with the same covering as the cake board and added the small bits of ribbon. The cake is sitting on 4 glass cake risers, otherwise known as votive candle holders, which work great for this effect! Thanks for looking!!

3" Mini's
I make these every year for our Children's Ministry Bake sale, so there are photos from previous bake sales in my gallery as well... This year we had to postpone the sale for a week cuz of our southern snow! The larger 3 tiered cake is for a silent auction we combine with the bake sale. Last year we raised over $800.00 and it gets better every year!

Frilly 40Th
Simple, easy, fast... just ice your cake, roll out the fondant, add a deco edge, apply silk flowers (cleaned and dried), throw on a message and there ya go! This was for a close friend of mine celebrating her 40th birthday. *Side note: This was the only "serious" gift of the day she received =D

Wild 40Th Birthday Cake
Sure feels good to post a cake...it's been a while. 10" round choco/choco cake covered with fondant and hand painted zebra stripes using Wilton paste black. I used black silk leafs around the border and added snipped silk hydrangeas for accent color. The topper is a terracotta pot painted black and turned upside down, filled the hole with black fondant to hold the flower in place. The cake is sitting on a box wrapped in zebra gift wrap. The party was as wild as the cake! Enjoy.

Huh? Brown Shower?
Hello everyone! Remember me? Sure has been a long time since I've been around huh? I'm not doing as many cakes as I had been. I'm spending alot of time with my art. This is a bridal shower cake I set up this morning. The color choices were cream and brown =O. Interesting color choice but I was up for the challenge. 3 - 8" square cakes iced in bc, covered in fondant. 2 - 3 layer chocolate cakes, 1 - 2 layer yellow cake. Flowers&ribbon are silk by request from the bride to be. Don't like the wall ! Too busy

5 Min Cake-Ice, Line, Dot, Done!
I needed a quick cake. I had a chocolate cake in the freezer and canned icing in the cupboard but I had no idea what to do for decorations. So, I just filled and iced the cake, filled a bag with a small round tip on the end, and this is what I ended up doing. It all only took me 5 minutes....or less. Quick and easy design in choco for men, primary colors for boys, or pastels for girls. Chocolate icing, caramel filling/deco.

Baby Shower Cake Displayed
This is the "Peachy Mother to be" cake I entered in the baby shower cake contest last month. (it was a tough competition with all the awesome cakes that were entered!!) This is how I displayed it using wooden blocks my husband made for me as cake risers. I wrapped the boxes in the same covering as the cake board. Sure wished I had more flowers to deco that table with but I didn't know they would be needed! The lower riser held a silver baby carriage with matching flowers and a gift tag.

My First Wedding Cake
I have to laugh when I look at this cake I did for my bro's wedding. Done about 15 yrs ago before I had barely any experience in deco'ing at all! Never took a class (still haven't except for Wilton course 1), just learned from a book, trial, and error. This was done in all BC. Sheet cake with hand drawn fan in BC to match. (There were actually two full sheet cakes like this). Wish you could see the tulle fan topper on the tier cake. I finally found the photos so thought it would be fun to upload...hee hee

Ultra Mini Wedding
Wish I could get a clear photo of this but it's so tiny my camera won't focus on it! I made this ultra mini out of fondant. It has a drape, roses and gold dots on the sides. Mini borders are ultra mini gold pony beads & columns are toothpicks . It's sitting atop an upside down wine glass so you can see the size in comparison. Maybe I should make one a bit larger so I can get a better photo! I LOVE miniatures! I used to use a bread dough/glue mix but fondant works great!
