My first Pirouette wrapped cake. Buttercream Dream icing-hand piped hydrangeas.
TSo if you take off your glasses and squint one eye it kinda looks like a fish doesn't it? :P This was my first attempt at a carved cake and working with fondant. The fins are fondant-the rest is buttercream. I used Odessa's Buttercream (which I love) and aside from the colors being off between the fins and body I'm kinda proud of it.
I made this for our last contract day at school.
This is the cake I did for Amy's bridal shower. I wanted it to resemble her bouquet. I did 67 mini cupcakes each with a royal icing flower. The cupcakes were skewered into an 8 1/2" styrofoam ball. Silk stems came out the back. Flower making took about 10 hours. It was my first real practice outside of class time-hopefully the next time it will go quicker.
I did these cupcakes up for my son's first birthday treats at his school.
This was one of the first cakes I did. I purchased a plain sheet cake from Walmart and made the characters out of buttercream freehand. My borders have much improved!
