For an ex work collegue. She wanted it to be all white, really simple with no fussy bits. She left the design up to me! Nervewracking. Had to transport the cake 70 miles away. I aged 10 years in an hour! I now know wedding cakes are not for me.
Yet another buttons baby shower cake, this time in purple and lilac. The customer put a glass ornament on top.
The customer wanted a ben 10 cake, but the aliens were not to look too aggresive. The cake was for three friends, whose names had to be on the cake, but not associated with any particular alien. I liked the end result. All sugarpaste.
Made this cake from a photocopy that the customer brought. It was quite tricky as the cake in the picture was about 6" and they needed a 9" to feed 20 boys. I baked a breadstick because the bought breadsticks were dwarfed by the huge knapsack. The grass is coloured sugar - as per the original cake.

Would not have been able to do this cake without Suzanne's help (aka Relznik). From a Lindy Smith book. 10" sponge, cobvered in sugarpaste with modelling paste numbers and wires.. The customer suggested using candles to make the darts, very fiddly. Next time I'll use a 12" cake with the 10" design, just to make it fit better.

Hobby cake designed by client, who insisted it had to be copied exactly! Incl piano, walking boots, youth hut, new zealand, cork, yacht, black ski slope with upside down skis on other side, frog on a pond and scroll & mortar board.
The instruction was to make a girly bowling cake. I took lots of inspiration from CC, thanks! Lots of glitter and pink. Will mnake the bowling ball from RKT if I ever do this again.

Jetski is cake with sugarpaste on top of another cake. Copy of Birthday boy's own jetski.
Spongecake with jam and bc. The head is RKT held in place with a dowels. Made the texture with a cocktail stick on sugarpaste. Dog biscuits are real biscuits baked specially for the occasion, my children devoured the leftover biscuits. Next time I'll cover the whole board with grass.

Jewelry box with sugarpaste copies of clients own jewelry Lid is a cake card covered with sugarpaste and held up by two dowels. The dowels are hidden from view with a sugarpaste copy of her favourite wide bracelet.
Hobby cake designed by the client. Everything is edible except for the croquet hoop. Handmade except for the cards that were printed as edible images.
