Welcome Chloe!!
Here's a shower cake I did for a baby that had already arrived. It's a white cake, strawberry filling, chocolate buttercream, and fondant accents. The origional shower was postponed due to the mom going into labor early. I was really happy with the way it turned out. The baby topper was an idea I got from Aine. She does beautiful work and I hope to be half as good as her some day.

Tommie's Wedding Cookies
Here's a picture of one of the cookies I did for my sister's wedding. She wanted to do cookies as a party favor so I volunteered. I'm not a cookie expert but was really pleased at how these turned out. I did a total of 180 cookies and there wasn't one left over. I have so much respect for all of the people thtat do these cookies and do such a beautiful job. This one was really tough!!!

Tommie's Shower Cake
This is a picture of my sister's shower cake. She emailed me the recipe for what she wanted. It was a 3 layer Godiva Sponge Cake, Godiva Fudge Filling with a little bit of Rasberry filling underneath, and Godiva Ganache. The sponge cake was kind of dry so I soaked it in a butter sauce. It was really good if you like chocolate! Thanks for looking.

Republican White Cake
Here's the white version of the chocolate cake I just posted done for a fund raiser for a Republican candidate running for JP in our area. It's a vanilla cake, strawberry filling, Indy's buttercream, and Godiva dipped strawberries. The Republican elephant is made out of fondant and edible markers. It sold for $120, the highest price paid for a cake. I thought the chocolate one would sell for the most, but you never know what people want! Thanks for looking.

This is a chocolate cake, fudge filling made with Godiva Chocolate, buttercream made with Godiva Chocolate and strawberries dipped in Godiva Chocolate. The Republican Elephant was done with fondant. There's another one I'm posting a picture of that's a white version of this cake. Thanks for looking!!!

Welcome Preston!
Here's the cake that the baby topper went on. I was nervous about this cake because of the "quilting". I cut fondant squares and used edible markers to match the baby bedding. The palm trees were done with pretzels and fondant, thanks to some help on a CC post. The mom to be was happy so I was happy too (relieved). Thanks for looking!

First Decorated Cookies
First of all, thanks ot khalstead, kneadacookie, and megamere. They were so much help and I couldn't have done this without them. I did these as a tasting for a wedding. They are NFSC and Penny's cookies with Toba's Glace, Antonia's 74 Icing, and Fondant. I did a mixture of both cookies with all the different icings on each so she can decide which one she likes (or if she likes them at all). They were so much fun and may have become an obsession. I stayed up until 1am doing them!!!

Pink Dragon Cake
This is the first carved cake I've ever done. I accidentally smashed the spikes on it's back down and tried to repair it (as you can see). The entire dragon is all cake with the exception of the legs. It kind of shifted and normally I wouldn't show a cake like this but I was really proud of it. All feedback welcome!

Naomi's Birthday Cake
This is a cake I did for one of my best friend's who's birthday was today. I wanted to do a Kaluha cake but the recipe on the Kaluha website that I baked turned out terrible. Instead, I baked a chocolate cake and made a Kaluah syrup and brushed each layer before frosting them in chocolate fudge. Then I rolled the sides in almonds and piped a border. I was happy with the way it turned out and wonder how it tasted. I didn't get a piece.

Texas A&m
This was a cake I did for our preacher's birthday. He's a huge Aggies fan. The cake was the chocolate version of WASC with the chocolate fudge icing recipe here on CC. It's the one with the jarred fudge sauce. It was really good but I had to refrigerate it until we served it so the icing wouldn't melt.

Keith's Birthday Cake
Here's a cake that I did for my son. He loves it when dove season (and deer season). Since it's his birthday during the season, I thought it would be a cute idea for his birthday cake. I was really tired and frustrated when I finished this cake so it's really not as good as I had hoped. (another story) The doves are done in fondant and I wanted to do the hunter in fondant too but settled instead for a little action figure. My son said, "Wow Mom, it's the first hunter I've ever seen that uses an AK47."

Sam's Shower Cake
This was for my niece who's having a little girl. She's doing the baby's room in frogs. Thanks to kelleym for her beautiful cake that inspired me to do this cake. Also a big thanks to my sweet hubby who came home and saw me frustrated and ready to give up and helped me out on these frogs. I'm going to do a post on the forums to finish the rest of the story on this cake. Thanks for looking.

Dedication Sunday Bible Cake
I did this cake for a dedication for our new Sanctuary at church. Thank you to melysa for her help! I cheated a little and found stickers for the lettering. I tried making my own stencils and couldn't make it work. If I do it again, I'll either find someone to make stencils or silk screens. I see a lot of flaws in it, but pretty happy with it especially it being my first book. Thanks for looking.

Vbs Cake
This is a cake I did for the finale of Vacation Bible School. VBS was a waterpark theme with Penguins. The bottom is a 2 layer 14" square cake. The top is a 6' square cut like a wedge with a groove cut out for the slide. The Penguins and beach towels are made of fondant, the water is piping gel and the rest is buttercream. I colored the beach towels with those edible pens. Not sure what they're called. Thanks for looking!!!
