Cheyenne's Smoking Volcano
I made this volcano for my youngest daughter's 7th birthday. She wanted to have a swim party, but it was too cold. She settled for a luau. I put a small shot glass in the center of the wondermold cake and had a piece of dry ice in it. It was supposed to have lava flowing out of the top, but the eggwhites which were tinted red, didn't seem to want to boil out over the top. She enjoyed it anyways!

Jazmyne's Halloween Birthday Cake
I made this cake to look like my daughter's Halloween costume. The RIP tombstone is a brownie covered with chocolate candy. The doll is a Wilton doll pick that I painted to look like her costume. It is supposed to look like a skeleton coming out of the ground. I got rushed when the beginning of the party started showing up early! She ended up with 26 friends showing up! The bad part is that none of them ended up wanting cake!!! Too many other things going on.

Matthew's German Sweet Chocolate Turkey Cupcakes
My step-son Matthew,11 years old, made these cupcakes from scratch-with a little guidance from me and a bit of help from my daughter, Jazmyne, also 11 years old. He decorated them to resemble some cupcakes that he found on this site that he liked. He also made the icing with a little help. We got to serve these for Thanksgiving this year.

Claire's Hot Rod Pig
This cake was made for my friend's daughter. She raised a black & white pig named Hot Rod. I could not have even come close to making this cake if it weren't for all of the others on here that made a pig cake. I would like to especially thank "Parable" for all of her help! I love this site because of all of the friendly help you can get! THANK YOU!!!

Halloween Cupcakes
I got this idea out of the Wilton Cupcake book. My daughter picked them out for her volleyball team. Since it was also her birthday, she got to eat the cupcake on the top. The Wilton book called for the mini candy ghosts but I couldn't find them so I just made them out of cookies. I used thinned royal icing to cover the skulls, ghosts, and the moon. The rest was decorated with buttercream. For the cupcakes, I took white batter and I seperated it. I colored half orange and half black.

Jazzy And Ashley Share A Birthday
My daughter, Jazzy and one of her best friends, Ashley were both born on October 2 in the same year. I took this book cake up to their middle school for their second class of the day. Their teacher let them hand out pieces of cake to the entire class. They loved it.

Firefighter Helmet And Hose
I made this cake for my step-son's 11th birthday. He loves all things fireman. He has a tiny little clock that has a helmet on top of a hose and he asked me to make the cake like that. I made the helmet like the directions on this site and I put it on top of an angled 4 layer cake that I put in the center of a real water hose. I wanted to carve a cake to resemble a water hose, but I just don't think I am that talented!!!! He enjoyed his cake! I have another angle of the cake that shows the fbct.

Decadent Strawberry With Whipped Icing And Chocolate Covered Strawberries
I made this cake using the "Decadent Strawberry Cake" recipe that I found on this site. I also made the whipped icing to coat the cake. I made a wedding cake similar to this some time back. I surrounded the cake with chocolate covered strawberries. I made this cake for one of my mom's friends.

Flower Basket
This cake was made for an elderly lady for her birthday. She was turning 87. The cake is the Pillsbury reduced sugar yellow mix and I made the homemade buttercream in a low sugar form. I used Splenda and cornstarch and blended it in a food processer until it was a fine powder. I used my favorite buttercream icing recipe and substituted 1/2 of the Splenda mix for 1/2 of the powdered sugar. The roses are regular buttercream, but the basketweave and the writing and top of the cake are made in the low sugar

Book Graduation Cakes
I made this cake for a lady whose daughter was graduating from high school. The school colors are blue and black so I made the books accordingly. The books and the diploma are covered in MMF. The cap is a mini wondermold with a cardboard square covered in MMF. The tassel is a real tassel. The eagle on the top of the book is a fbct of the school's mascot.
