I decided to do make this cake because every year, my husband and I, and my father-in-law, take our two boys up to a river in Norther Michigan camping. So, I recreated our campsite on the cake, along with my father-in-laws red boat and all the fish we catch. I made the 5 of us into Teddy Bears, and put one of the boys next to the campfire, roasting marshmallows. The other boy, I stuck back by the tent, as that they love to run in and out of the tents.

I made this just a few days ago, for my son's 8 yr birthday & my step-son's 9 yr birthday. I decided to combine their birthdays this year, and prevent the wasting of cake. The loved this cake. My son said, he noticed something new everytime, he looked at it. This cake took me 8 hours from start to finish, and was a challenge. Thought it would be easy, but it was difficult. I didn't think it was gonna turn out as beautiful as it did. I cried when I cut it because it took me so long to decorate.
