birthday cake to celebrate a 60th birthday, purple fantasy flowers, roses, calla lilies, and violet stephanotis like flowers. Ivory fondant on a French vanilla cake, with IMBC.
Cake Me Candy Land
My DD and DS helped plan and execute this cake. Butter cream iced with skittles candy dressed up for button candy. Kool Aid tropical flavored MMF gum drops. Marshmallow pops, rock candy, lolli pop topper for party favors. DD first attemp at ruffle swags and DS first attempt to base ice cakes and write on side of cake. We had a great time planning this cake and working on it as a family. The older kid version of Cake Me Candy Land
Adrianne's All That Bling
inspired by Collet Peter's cake. The brides new initial is a "C" and can be seen from the top. Covered in luster dust MFF, pixie dust hand rolled swirls, leaves, polka dots and LOTS of handmade pearls. Lots of sparkle for a winter cake.
All Things Boy
this cake is for a little boy who wanted all things boy candy cake. Camo, fishing, snakes, candy, candy candy, and something messy. Bottom tier is a RKT covered in ganche with cookie crumbs. Lots of candy added for fun
Ace Will Be A Fireman Just Like Daddy
Fondant covered cake with brick impression. Gumpaste fireman, flames, fire hydrant, ladders, beagle dalmation (I tried for a straight up dalmation but...). I used black sugar crystal for the "tar top" roof. This was inspired by a picture given to me - cake artist unknow. Please let me know if it is yours to thank you and give you credit!
All buttercream cake with gumpaste flowers. Shoe server and tiara. Lots and Lots of flowers. Butter cream is so much harder to work with than fondant! I forgot how hard it was.
Pumpkin Cookie Bouquet
NFSC I decorated and my kids arranged in a pumpkin for a party at their friends.
This was a cake for my daughters friend and we made it together. She painted the butterflies but only the tops! Know that she sees the white bottoms and realizes that we should paint both sides next time. TFL
I picked a few of my favorite ideas from cakes on here and made this cake. I couldn't figure out what the problem was until I uploaded the photo. The bow is on the wrong side and throws the balance off. I also wished I had covered the cake board. TFL
Rose And Callas
This is a copy of a cake the MOB gave me. She wanted it as close to the picture as possilbe with ivory fondanct and pink rosses, callas, and filler flowers. I don't know who made the original to give credit but have found this to be a popular cake. I made the roses and callas following Edna's tutorials, and the filler flowers by guess work. The fillers were the hardest to do! Thanks for looking.
Death To His Youth
A friends 30th birthday party. His girlfriend went with a death to his youth theme. The zombie was 34 inches tall and 32 inches wides. The arms and head are RKT and the cake was chocolate, WASC, and lemon. The cake served about 300 with taking the carving servings out. This is my first attempt at a skelton frame cake. I learned a lot making the cake, measure you door width and the size of your car is really important!
Jacob's Fire Engine
This cake was for a 6 year old boy who wanted a firetruck party. I made the cake to travel 3 hours in the Texas heat and humidity. I had a bit of problems with the length of the truck and the cake sinking. All in all, I had a good time and learned a lot. I will never do a fire engine last minute.
Ballarina Princess And Future Tennis Star!
This cake was inspired by a lot of cakes on here. The birthday girl is turning 5 and wanted a little of all her favorites - ballet - princess - tennis but on a pretty tier cake. This is what I came up with. Figures and flowers are gumpaste. TFL
Radio Flyer Push Wagon
big mess on this cake. I planned to do a tradition radio flyer but needed to change it to a push wagon for baby's first birthday and to travel 3 hours. The wood slats are real wood and I ended up using foam board for the uprights. I made the original out of gumpaste but they cracked when I moved them. The wheels are RKT covered in fondant. TFL
The cake was for a party at the zoo. They wanted a cake with the WOW factor but little cake. I made three 8 inch layers, 3 inches tall for the parents and surrounded the cake with cupcake bushes for the children. The animals, flowers, bridges, reeds, and cat tails are all gumpaste. The rocks and pebble walk way are chocolate rocks. The water is gelatine gel. TFL
Zoo Cake Mock Up
I am working on a zoo cake and finding it hard to decide how to display the animals. The round cake circles will be cakes. The hippos, gators, and elephants will be in water on the base board. Still working on more tropical plants and trees. Any ideas?
Diamond Castle And Sugar Carriage
Added stick on gems to the Wilton castle kit and lots of pearl luster dust to make a sparkly cake. The carriage was cast sugar then dusted as well for a shimmery effect. TFL
Night At The Movies
This cake and rice crispie treat for a birthday party movie theme. The popcorn is MFF with a french vanilla and is still soft to eat, the scene marker is RKT, the soda has coke jello jigglers with knox blocks ice cubes. Had tons of fun until I had to make the movie reel. I hate black fondant!
My first attempt to airbrush a tye dye. The 9 and 6 inch cakes are strawberry with buttercream for a 50 party. I think I should have tye dyed the top tier as well but thought it might be a bit much. Either would have worked but was fun trying. TFL
Ruby And Robin
A TT cake inspired by "PinkCakeBox" cake. The birds I had some problems with, Ruby lost her eyes and beak in travel. I left the back up box at home (6 hours away). Did a quick repair I didn't like the gloppiness of it, but... It was interesting traveling with a TT.
First Communion Cake
This is a bright pink fondant cake that has been luster duster with gumpaste flowers. The angel was added on by a family member hoping to "improve" the look of the cake. TFL
Feldman Brothers Inspired Baby Shower Cake
The ladies planning this shower wanted a cake that looked like a open gift of a Feldman Brothers baby dress. I pleated the corners of the fondant ro resemble a wrapped box . The toile ruffle cake board is from the invitations along with the pink w/ white polka dots. The tissues paper was luster dusted to give it a shimmer. The pink was done mottled to resemble the toile look. TFL
pulled sugar flames, gumpaste swords, coins, and gold nuggets. All cake or sugar except Mardi Gras beads.
Barbie As Maripossa
This is a multiple tier/level cake for DD DF's sisters cake. The cake flavors were vanilla, chocolate, banana, strawberry, and italian cream. The water fall was fondant with luster dust. The flowers, cattails, and other were gumpaste with chocolate rock candies. The mother provided the Barbie figures.
