This idea came from a party magazine and I thought I'd try it out. My boys were big Lone Ranger fans and this seemed to be a fun birthday idea.
This was probably the hardest cake I've ever done. (I've only done a few really fancy ones, usually they're square) The boys wanted a castle cake and so this is what I came up with after surfing through this site for ideas. The dragon is gum paste and the shields on each tower are fondant. Sorry about the poor picture quality.

This was my first attemp at doing anything other than square. It's a pound cake recipe and the paws are hostess cakes. This was a little complicated compared to what I'm used to but I had a lot of fun.
