Pen Pal Challenge
Made from fondant and sugarclay. Handpainted the lettering & dusted the cupcake surface to get that antiqued scrapbook look.
Angry Birds In Action
Cake measures approximately 16" x 36" x 4" All figures are handmolded from sugarclay. Added feature is the Red bird in flight. Mounted on floral wires.
Coffee & Croissant
A cake I made for my sister who loves Starbucks and Penguins (Hence the penguins holding the match and candle)
Done for a little girl who was going to have her party in an amusement park that looked like a pixie forest. BC with fondant accents
Made this cake for a 1 year old birthday with a star wars theme. My first sculpted cake. I think it turned out pretty well. Hand-sculpted and hand-painted with a sponge and diluted paste colors. Included a smash cake for free.
Angels And Bubbles
I used my favorite medium for creating: half fondant, half gumpaste and some tylose. Makes the perfect modelling paste for small figures. Angels are less than an inch tall. Cake topped with a makeshift bubble machine.
Made for an 18th birthday gilr who is an artist at heart. The paint palette is a shaped sugarcookie covered with fondant. Paints are royal icing. All others are fondant.
Hollywood Steps Out!
Done for an 18th birthday bash with a Hollywood/Superstar theme. All done with sugarpaste and handpainting.
Kissing Couple Cake
My 3rd wedding cake and one of my first fondant covered cakes. Have gotten the hang of covering the large cakes now. The drape on the side is actually the bride's train.
Thomas And Friends
Made this for a birthday boy who loved thomas. The train shed is the only cake but everything else on the board is edible. After the candle blowing, the kids dismantled the cake in less than 5 seconds..they loved eating everything on the cake! Was great!
I tried painting fondant doing this sombrero. Used lemon extract, food colring pastes and luster dust!
Wedding Couple Topper
Hand-molded from sugar clay for a 28th Anniversary Cake. This was so much fun and entertaining to do. I painted the couple with luster dusts...my first time to use them so I went a bit luster crazy.
Carved the Cake from a Wilton Cruiser Cake Pan and finished in faux fondant. All other decorations are made from sugar clay. I thought it turned out quite okay.
Bees And Butterflies
A cake made to match the birthday invitation. I hand-molded the bees and decorated the cake with fondant. The cake itseld is made from crusting BC. I got the recipe here and this is the first time I used it. Didn't have Viva towels so I used a large silk scarf...worked great!
Made for 2 execs that share the same birthday and love of Golf. My first time making molded figures. Turned out so well. The gallery pictures helped me decide on the final layout. I especially love the frog on the guy's head. It's only 1.5 cm long...quite hard to hand-mold but turned out well.
