Flower Cake
This was a joint effort between me and my sister. She baked and frosted the cake, and I decorated it. I think the pink and green on top of chocolate frosting is an interesting combination! I am VERY pleased with how this cake turned out! I love the floral sprays as well as my handwriting. Sorry for the grainy picture it was taken on my cell phone!

Soccer Birthday Cake
This is actually an ice cream cake that I did for my son's Kindergarten teacher's daughter. The soccer ball and all writing is done with piping gel. The ball was drawn with the help of a Kopy Kake machine. All the lettering was done freehand. Frosting is really Frostin Pride. I'm glad you liked it, Nicole!

More_Cakes_012.jpg
My very first wedding cake (that wasn't for cake class course three that is!) My Dad remarried on August 4 (Mom passed away in 2000). He asked me and my sister to make his wedding cake. We both baked the cake and frosted it. I made all the flowers and decorated it. Does this cake look familiar? Look in Wilton course two class book page 27! I just changed the white flowers to bright pastels!

Joeys_Cake_005.jpg
My nephew, Joey, celebrated his First Communion in May, 2006. I am very proud of this cake. Unfortunately, I was unable to see or hear about every one's reaction. My son had strep throat the day of the event! I did get many phone calls from everyone telling me that was the best cake they ever had! No one knew I had made it (until they were told) and they all thought it was store bought from a professional! White cake with buttercream frosting.

Spring Cake
This is a similar cake to the final project of Class II. I think I should have put some flowers at the bottom too to give it more color. I bought a cake leveler and it came out perfect. I am pleased with how this one turned out. (Not as lopsided as my class cake) I know I messed up on the basket weave, but I think I'm getting better!
