i made this for my birthday! my first attempt at sculpting a face. definitely will not be recruited by madame tussaud's any time soon, but fairly happy with the way this turned out! head is rice cereal treats/modeling chocolate covered in fondant and torso is cake.
12x18 on the bottom. blocks are cake approx 4x4 - would make them smaller next time. fondant accents.
All fake - battery operated lights at the top. 1,067 windows!! fun.
2x8" rounds and 3x6" rounds, stacked and carved. royal icing for the "foam".
the birthday lady loves shopping at holt renfrew and christian louboutin shoes so we came up with this design - bottom tier replicates the bloor street storefront (toronto) and a shopping bag for the top tier. finally got to use disco dust (on the shoe) YAY!
