Cascading Leaves
This was for a bridal shower with a fall theme. I was having a bad cake icing day! The icing is a little rough and my waxed paper is showing through, but this was for my church, so the people were very gracious and forgiving. The leaves are gumpaste as are the raspberries. The hydrangias are silk.

Ryan's Princess
This cake was a bridal shower cake for my sister-in-law. Her fiancee calls her "Princess" and so I decided to do a cake that reflects that special part of their relationship. The ribbon across the front actually reads "Ryan's Princess". The whole cake was vanilla cake and the bottom tier had a white chocolate raspberry ganache for filling. It was my first time to try a ganache and I loved the results!!!!

Sporty Groom's Cake
I got the side quilting idea from one of sugarshack's cake. I had already drawn a diagram for the bride who wanted me to incorporate basket ball, football, and baseball on the cake for her coach husband-to-be. This I thought, completed the cake and just made it look sharp. The balls and bats are made from fondant. The groom is also a cadillac fan, so that is what's going on with the pitcher's mound.=)

Beaded Elegance
Okay, I really had trouble with my fondant this weekend. It looked absolutely perfect when I first put it on the cake, then all of the sudden, everything shifted and slid down the sides of the cake. I almost didn't post it because I"m so embaressed, but I know that we all learn from our mistakes, so I'd be happy to hear your comments. I was happy with the decorations though. The bride, my best friend, wanted bead work to look like the pattern on her dress, and it turned out really well.
