The birthday party was an autumn theme. All the decorations were done with MMF. I had a lot of fun mixing up the colours to create the fall leaves. The mini pumpkins were pumpkin spiced cake molded using mini bundt cake pans.
Mocha cake covered in MMF. I was going to make the turrets out of cake but I found the toy and it matched perfectly.
I used the white chocolate cake recipe from this site for the cupcakes. Tasted really good!

I made this cake for my son's 1st birthday. I had a difficult time trying to find Backyardigan cake toppers or toys so I had to make the characters myself. They are made out of fondant on no fail sugar cookies. Transporting the cake with the stacked house was a challenge. I was so happy that it didn't fall.
I made 95 cookies plus a two tier cake for a 65th birthday party. It was a busy week! Cookies are no-fail sugar with royal icing. A few had fondant accents. Thanks to margery for her help with the packaging.

This cake was inspired by a wedding cake I saw on this site. The cakes are covered in MMF with fondant accents. I used bubble tea straws for the first time to support the top tier. They are so much easier to work with!

I made this cake for my nephew's birthday. It was my first attempt at a cupcake cake.
My first attempt at baking and decorating cookies. I used the no fail sugar cookie recipe and decorated with royal icing. Using squeeze bottles really saved time. I didn't have to outline each cookie.
This is my final cake for the Wilton Course III. Both cakes are covered in fondant with fondant roses. I didn't think I would make fondant roses for my final cake after a few failed attempts but I finally got a few that looked ok and I started to enjoy making them.
My first attempt at a children's birthday cake. After my colour flow Dora and Boots cracked during removal (any suggestions on removing colour flow images?) I had to go to plan B - rice paper and filling in the image with stars - an idea from another member..thanks!
