Have A Beary Cool Summer!
These are cupcakes I made for my son's preschool class the last day of school. I got the idea from bettycrocker.com and made a few modifications. I used fruit rollups for the "floats", gummi lifesavers and Teddy Grahms dotted with black gel (for sunglasses). I used a large star tip for the "waves". If the kids had been older, I would have finished off with small drink umbrellas. Next time, I'll use Gummi Bears, the Teddy Grahms crumbled to the touch after being stored in an airtight container overnight.

Bunny & Chick Cupcakes
I made the bunny cupcakes using large marshmallows cut in 1/4, sprinkled with pink sugar, blue M&M's for eyes, pink jellybean for nose and Chiclets for teeth. The cheeks were piped icing, flattened by finger and sprinkled with dessicated cocoanut. The chicks were right off the brightideas.com site, M&M's and jelly beans. The Wilton cupcake tower made it a lovely Easter centerpiece!

Optimus Prime
This was for my son's 5th birthday and was a real crowd pleaser. The body is cut out from a 13x9 cake and the head was formed from the scraps. I made 1/2 batches of red, white and blue MMF. The yellow accents I colored from the white MMF. I stuck Autobot rings on the arms rather than trace the insignas. No icing (except a crumb coat), only MMF on the entire cake.
