Baby Cake
...my first marshmallow fondant cake - first time making & using it. I made this cake for some friends' baby shower. We had lots of desserts, so we just needed a smaller cake (8".) (Though really sweet, it tastes so much better than the nasty Wilton stuff.) I'm not very experienced w/fondant, so I had a couple small tears on the back. I need to learn how to work with it better. (french vanilla cake w/strawberry filling - buttercream crumb coat covered w/MMF) TFL

50Th Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my uncle's birthday. It was a three-layer chocolate cake (soaked in a strawberry syrup) filled with a dark chocolate ganache. The cake is iced in a chocolate buttercream, drizzled with chocolate candy melts, and topped w/chcolate covered strawberries. Thanks for looking!

College Graduation Cake
I made this cake for my cousin's graduation from Illinois State University. It was a three-layer butter cake with lemon curd and raspberry filling. They wanted something pretty, but different from the typical graduation sheet cake. While my techniques are amateur at best, this cake was of my own design.

Illinois Grad Cake
....my first "real" cake. This cake was for my cousin's high school graduation party. They wanted something different, so we made the cake in Illinois colors, the college he would be attending in the fall. There are fondant accents on the sides of the cake, which I wasn't very pleased with. The cake was a 2-layer, 11x15 yellow cake, filled with bavarian creme.

Baptism Cake
This is the Baptism cake I made for my baby. It is a three-layer yellow cake with the following fillings: raspberry, lemon curd, and buttercream. I wanted something simply decorated. This is only my third cake - it definitely has its flaws, but I'm pleased overall. Thanks for looking! Feel free to give criticism!
