Second cake for my sons' birthday party. It was orange cake, and iced in BC with the star tip. I used the party hat pan, and trimmed off the ball on top and some of the bottom to make the cone shape.
This was the cake for my twin sons' second birthday. Everyone loved it! It was yellow cake with caramel filling. Trucks are toys, dirt is crushed chocolate graham crackers, cones are candy corn, and rocks are candy. Inspired by a lot of great pics on this site!
This was just a practice cake- I was trying to teach myself the basketweave. It's red velvet with crusting cream cheese frosting.
Giant cookie made with a doctored cake mix. Frosting is regular BC.
Here are some of the cookies before I bagged them and put them in the bouquet. Recipe is No-Fail with Antonia74's icing.
This is my first cookie bouquet, and was so much fun. Cookies are No Fail with Antonia74's icing.
I made this for my husband's birthday. It's a Snickers cake, and my first attempt at a stacked cake. The tools are plastic toys. Inspired by Tcturtleshell's tool cake in the gallery.
This was my final cake in Course 1. I tried the chocolate BC just for fun. My icing was a bit too stiff, so my roses and bow look kind of ragged. I had so much fun in this class and can't wait for Course 2!
This was my second cake in Course 1. I thought the colors turned out great together, though they looked really bright in the decorating bags. I think I got a reputation in our class for having the craziest icing colors.
The second session of Course 1 was on Valentine's Day, so our instructor let us do cakes with hearts. I only had purple and green frosting, and I rushed through the top border, but I was pleased for my first cake ever.
