Fondant covered Chocolate cake. I used the airbrush (which I should have bought YEARS ago!!!) Lots of fun to make! Cookie cutters to make the circles and a few feathers to top it off. :)
My moist Vanilla Cake recipe w/ Chocolate ganache buttercream filled with Chocolate Moose. The "1" covered in pink fondant and Chocolate fondant on the "8". Both decorated with fondant cut-outs. SO fun to make!
Vanilla cake loaf and mini pan. Layered with chocolate ganache. Tires are made out of rice crispy treats and dipped in dark chocolate. Attached with royal icing. The bed of the truck sits on an upside down tupperware box to get a "lifted" effect. Orange and grey (supposed to be black :/ ) frosing are French buttercream.
Made for my Tae Kwon Do instructors going away party. 14" Round, 3 layered. Marble Cake (killer chocolate & my vanilla cake). Layered with chocolate ganache and sliced fresh strawberries (soaked in brown sugar and lemon juice overnight). Topped with French buttercream.
14, 10 & 6. Killer Chocolate Cake, Raspberry coulis w/ chocolate ganache. All covered with French Buttercream! Delicious!!! Very happy bride. Not bad - all by myself and 1st Wedding cake!!!
Top layer is "Killer Chocolate Cake" - which btw, is absolutly delicious!!! With raspberry & blackberry coulis and blackberry liquor and layered with chocolate ganache. Bottom layer, same chocolate cake, chocolate ganache and honey creamcheese filling. All covered in French Buttercream and topped with fresh pink roses. The bottoms of the tiers are lined with ribbon to match the roses!
I baked these in a 9x13 pan and traced my own flip flop on a piece of wax paper and then transferred onto the cake and cut around them. Vanilla cake with French Buttercream frosting. The straps were made out of fruit rollups :) and then a fake flower on top!

My first attempt at Petit fours. I need to learn how to do only one layer of icing - too sweet. The trial icing tasted much better. I found that the round cakes are easier to cover.
1/2 choc 1/2 vanilla double layer cake. Ladybug made out of funnel cake pan, covered in fondant. Everything is edible except for the pipe cleaners!
My yummy Vanilla cake with Fresh strawberry filling and French Buttercream frosting! I even kept a strawberry for myself - (but my DH got it!)
Full sheet cake. 13 different hand made marzipan babies - all with different expressions. The large baby, on top of the French Buttercream quilt, was 3D and finished in marzipan as well. EVERYTHING completely edible! I truely enjoyed building this cake creation!
