This is the wedding cake that the bride never got. She had asked for a white cake with pink flowers, she got a pink cake with white flowers... The bottom tier is carrot cake, middle white, top chocolate. All buttercream with lace decorating on two tiers to break it up. The flowers are gumpaste and duplicated from a picture given to me. They are hand painted with liquefied luster dust to look like porcelain.
This was for a unique wedding shower. It was a Fiesta themed party that even had Salsa dance instructors to teach everyone some spicy dancing! The cake was half white with lemon filling, half carrot cake (which the bride to be then decided was her wedding cake flavor). Chili peppers are made of fondant and painted with gel color. Cake board was also covered with chili pepper fabric.

This cake was made for a going away party for a young man joining the guard. The wording on the sides of the cake is from the official song of the Guard. The flag and stars are made of fondant, the guard symbols are edible image on a circle of gumpaste/fondant.
