72 cupcakes for my friend's daughter, who had a "white" party, though the fondant, sprinkles and the birthday girl's dress were light pink. 7 of the cupcakes spelled out her name, too. The numbers are handcrafted out of MMF with CMC, painted with Lusterdust. White cake with buttercream, sprinkled with sanding sugar.
The Simpson's again, one my DH's favorite things, so it seemed natural for our first anniversary cake. The image was taken from SPOSA wedding magazine's Fall/Winter 1999 issue, where they were named "Couple of the Millenium" DH is definitely my Homer. My first (successful) FBCT, though it was obviously really thick. Triple Chocolate Fudge cake and Chocolate Buttercream.
My first sheetcake! Well, 1/2. Friend wanted a golf AND surfing theme for her husband's 50th. WASC with strawberry filling. Fondant, BC, and piping gel decorations. A special thanks to DH for making my figure (Its hard to see, but he has a little club, too!)
Wilton Class Cake
For A.J.'s third birthday, who loves ALL things fireman. It broke my heart to see it ripped to pieces within minutes of our arrival (after hours of hard work), but glad to see he enjoyed it. Debbie Brown's Lovable Character's instructions, madiera cake recipe. Decorated with BC, pastillage, modelling paste, and Rhonda's MMF. Thanks for looking and reading! Here's my beautiful castle before transport. Funfetti cake with BC, and MMF flowers. I was very dissapointed in the Wilton Set. The large width of the pillars caused the sides to bulge, which I had managed for the first time to ice smoothly. They also left gaping holes when you removed them. They weren't stable and many fell during transport. On the upside, the now 5 yr old loved it, and thats all that matters.
She came out better than I thought she would. :) The original order was "Cinderella however you want" I planned an elaborate hand formed fondant figure...It turned into "must be buttercream" and handed me a Summer Beach Barbie to turn into a princess. BC was too soft, so there's not too much detail. Butter Recipe Yellow with buttercream
Rocket from Little Einsteins. She already had her party 2 wks ago, but I wanted her to have a little cake on her actual birthday. Carved from a 6 inch, sort of a smash cake. I didn't worry about smoothing because a 3 year old has no idea what VIVA is. :)
Procrastination is an ugly thing, threw it together in about 3-4 hours. Everyone loved it anyways--even lopsided, bulging, and falling apart. Don't they always? P.S. This was the "good" side. :) Strawberry cake (doctored mix from here), Cheesecake filling. Nilla Wafer, Graham Cracker, and brown sugar sand. MMF and Buttercream. Shells are molded white chocolate merckens. Made for the "Summer Birthdays" party our family throws every year.
My first tiara cake, was much simpler than I thought it would be. Had a lot of fun with it. 10 inch choc, 6 inch white both with strawberries and cream filling. MMF and RI.
My first "perfect" cake! Yeay! Nothing I was unhappy with, and no "backside" to the cake. Dark Chocolate cake with pb mousse filling and buttercream, and my first MMF! It was easy peasy! My first decorated cookie, too.

A colorflow handdrawn Vader Head, the other was much better, it broke. This is the back ups. :) The side says "Severin, It is your Destiny." He loved it.

My first 3D cake. Doug, thanks for the help! Carved choc cake with oreo filling. Hands are ping pong balls. Head is styrofoam. Camera was malfunctioning so it came out pink looking. Black SatinIce fondant. It was a 3D interpretation of my BIL's choir, Men Alive, logo (two bass clefs back to back with a bowtie and head)
