My friend's daughter likes princesses and is having a carnival theme party, so I tried to combine the two.
This cake depicts the scene of a Public Menorah Lighting on Chanukah. All of the Jewish people in the village are gathered around the giant menorah (made of sparklers) in the town square. Note the houses in the background. The windows are made of clear candy that have drawings of menorahs on them. There's a candle behind each window to make them shine.

A goodbye cake for my brother, when he left to Israel. I put a star in the approximate locations of Toronto (where we live) and Israel (where he was going for school). The continents may not be so exact, but geography's not his strong point anyway.

These are the stars of Chabad.org's Itche Kadoozy Show. My 2 year old loves it (ok, I do to!) so I made these for her birthday. The characters are fondant, and took me hours to make, but her reaction was worth it! The advantage was that once they were done, the cakes took about 20 minutes to do!

These are the 5 main characters in the story of the Holiday of Purim. Mordechai, Queen Esther, King Achashverosh, Queen Vashti and Haman. I made 38 sets of these... and only figured out how to do it more efficiently on the last half dozen or so.
