My grandson wanted an army tank for his 8th birthday party. Here is what I came up with. Cake is Lemon with raspberry filling. Buttercream under fondant. The antenna is made out of speg. noodle.

So I bought these cutters at Las Vegas Cake Camp, and when I opened them....No directions! Ugh! I don't wing it well. Tried contacting company? I wanted to use a great tasting chocolate icing as my grandaughter loves chocolate. Well, turns out its pretty soft, but I wasn't willing to give up taste for looks, so it's a little droopy in some spots, but the kids will think it's cute. We are celebrating two birthdays together, hence, the "two sided" cake.
This is one side of a "two sided" cake I did for two of my grandchildren. Luke wanted Star Wars and Brooklyn wanted an M&M cake.
A design also borrowed from Nicki at CC. I changed some things on it but it was a huge hit at the office!
I borrowed this design from CareyI on CC. Please excuse the plastic holding the bow to dry and the two pins in the "16" also drying. My niece loved it! Top tier is Red Velvet with cream cheese icing. Bottom tier is vanilla cake with Bav. cream and raspberry filling.
Bottom tier: Chocolate/strawberry filling. Top two tiers: Vanilla Coc. cream/Passion Fruit filling. IMBC, MMF. This one will be priced higher next time....Didn't realize how long the little details would take me!

Bride saw this "style" of icing on Brides magazine cover. She liked it as they were getting married on family ranch. It went well with all their river rock decor. Cake was White Choc. lemon with Raspberry filling. White Choc. Cream cheese icing.
These boys combined their birthday parties. This was not an easy design to come up with. One wanted a Football theme and one wanted Soccor. Everything I tried looked too "junked up." So.... It just came down to "trying" to balance it out somewhat... I can't wait till cake camp, I'm taking the "Cake design class!"

Cake: Lemon/White chocolate. Filliing: Lemon and Raspberry Iciing: Lemon/White chocolate/Cream cheese! I'm not one to lick my fingers while baking, but on THIS particular cake, and icings I had to FORCE myself to just drop the bowls into the sink after tasting them. This was one tasty combination....Hee! Hee!
Ok, I gave Buttercream another try.....LOLO This one just tastes so good! I absolutely love this Lemon/white choc. buttercream! It's so fluffy, pipes well and tastes wonderful! A nice choice between IMBC and Reg. Buttercream. My 8 yr. old granddaughters softball team was celebrating the end of the season. I layered Choc. cake AND Vanilla coconut cream cake with lemon and rasp. fillings. Thanks for looking!
I really am spoiled with doing fondant cakes! I must've bumped this buttercream a dozen times while working on it and had to fix...Grrrrr. But, customer was thrilled, and they loved the taste! White choc./lemon cake with Lemony/cr.cheese filling. and Rasp. berry filling. Then White choc. / Lemon buttercream. I borrowed this design from CC, but tweaked it a bit. Thanks for looking!
Giving marzipan fruit a try....It was kind of fun. I dusted the pears with dry luster dust, but used dust with vodka to paint the grapes. Marbled MMF, and buttercream leaves. Thanks for looking!
