Skirted Bottom & Brooch
I have done this design a few times, but I think this one turned out best! Bottom tier is also cake. All fondant except ribbons & brooch. Bride also had a Captain America shield grooms cake and a small 6" round birthday cake for her flower girl. She was a really great bride to work with. Brooch is from Walmart sewing dept, but I don't think they carry them anymore.

Rock Star Theme
This cake was for my 2 kids. Got a lot of my inspiration from the rock star themed cake posted by Discolady and 'Las Vegas Wedding' by Tracy10221. Thank you! The cake was a huge hit w/my daughter, who is by far my toughest critic. Son liked it too, but he's pretty easy to please. :) LOL TFL!

Fund Raising Dinner/charity
This was actually for a very large fund raising dinner by a charity called Remedies, they provide assistance for children in abusive homes. They have a new logo, which is 3 blades of grass in a circle, and I painted it on a round mirrored tile that is in between the tiers of cake. The colors were a dark steel gray, light grass green, and a darker grass green. Fondant, w/ribbon & crystals. Served 254

4 Squares And 2 Birds
I totally panicked when I saw the bridal party all wearing yellow & here I was delivering a pale sage green cake. (The lighting in this picture is horrible.) I even double checked my bridal contract to be sure I didn't mess up. Then I saw the topper, a small nest with 2 bright yellow birds and I felt better. All buttercream, including the 'ribbon' base.

Sweet 16 Cake
All fondant w/royal icing, rhinestones & some painted details. It's also got fake jewels (from Michael's craft store) on it, and the topper is a $1 frame that I put some printed paper in. When I delivered the cake the sun was so bright that my pics didn't turn out, but the customer emailed this one to me later w/rave reviews. TFL!

The Yellow Submarine Sails Again!
This is my version of the Beattle's Yellow Submarine, done for a baby shower. I used 2 9x13" ovals for the bulk of the cake, and baked 1 9x13 sheet that I cut and used pieces to create the right shape. Oh, and a 4" round up on top. Fun design once I finally wrapped my head around the shape of it!

Homemade Heroes Theme Cake
Have you ever tried to have a superhero party without using ANY commercially available superheroes?? We decided to keep it fairly generic with just stars and lightning bolts, fashioned largely after a pokemon cake I saw here on CC. If I find the original cake again, I'll post a comment with credit to the original design.

25Th Anniversary Irish Wedding
This cake was for a dear friend. Her original wedding reception consisted of a keg of beer & a sheet cake, so I thought we should do it up right for her 25th anniversary vow renewal. The clover flowers are all RI, airbrushed to assorted shades of green. The 'plaques' are fondant airbrushed with pearl and the rest is buttercream. The whole wedding and menu were Irish based, we had such fun! :) TFL

Teddy Bear Ball Cake
This cake was actually my donation for a fundraiser dinner for a group that assists children in abusive/violent homes. They called it their "Teddy Bear Ball". Tickets for this dinner were $75 each, so I really wanted to wow their guests. The bottom was square, then two round tiers with hat box lids, then the top tier was a pillow for the little teddy bears to sit on. I opted not to make the teddy bears out of fondant at the last minute, but I found these little guys and they fit great.

A Sentimental Journey In B/w
This was actually for a fund raiser dinner for our local 'Keen Age Center' (elderly assistance) for their 35th anniversary. The original design for this was inspired by a cake I saw at patacake-parties.com, but due to budget constraints we had to use buttercream instead of fondant. Grapes were part of the table centerpieces, so they asked me to incorporate them somehow in the cake. TFL!

Little Einsteins
I've seen a few of these on the internet, and was glad for an order to make one. I used (2) 9" rounds and a 1/2 ball pan for the ship. All covered w/buttercream. I was in a pinch for time, so I opted for an edible image for the kids in the windshield, and I'm very pleased that I did. The turbo engines are each made from 2 marshmallows held together by a toothpick and a little buttercream, then toothpicked onto the cake.

Deep Sea Diver's Helmet
This is a grooms cake I did this weekend. The base is (3) 10" round cake layers, and the 'helmet' section is (4) 7" round cake layers. All covered lightly in buttercream and then fondant. I got a great bronze effect by airbrushing the helmet a warm brown and then a layer of egg yellow over that. I lightly sprayed it with aerosol pearl lustre since I forgot to order gold (doh!) and it actually looked metallic. WOOT! I guess the groom does deep sea diving, so this was his little surprise.
