All buttercream icing - Cinderella is plastic per clients request. Storybook is carved from 1/2 shet, castle is 10 in DL and 8 in DL. Used the Wilton Castle kit. VERY time consuming but the little 2 year old went CRAZY!!!
My business partner Suebee and I did this cake for her daughters birthday. Sue also made a great bottle from I Dream of Jeannie for the top. We carved it from a 13x13 square and covered it with moss green fondant. We painted the fondant with Aztec Gold and Avacado green luster dust. This was so much fun. 12, 9, and 6 in round DL with butter cream icinga nd fondant accents. I wish the detailed bow showed up better, it had daisy impressions on it and the yellow dots are the centers. hard to tell from th photo. The middle tier decorations are the same shade as the bottom tier but they looked grey in the photo. Oh well... thanks for looking!

This was done for a clients daughter who was graduating from college and she just got a job as a phys ed / gym teacher at a high school. She also got the golden whistle award which is for future teachers who show excellence in teaching. This is a 1/2 sheet cake and the girl is sitting on a 1/2 6 in round, all butter cream icing, fondant figure with fondant sports balls. There was a basketball hoop with a ball on a wire, but it wouldn't stay in the cake due to high temp outside. Thanks for looking!

These are sugar cookies with royal icing. They were done for a baby shower - the mom called me and said she was going to varnish the cookie with the baby face and the bottle with the little girls name for the her scrapbook!

These were 12, 9, and 6 in round - tripplle (2in each layer) vanilla/yellow cake with fresh strawberries. They requested the very thick cake layers - each layer with filling was almost 8 inches high. Made from 2 9 in square cakes - carved. Covered in fondant - wheels are donuts covered in fondant. My partner and my husband made the board for us so the main area would be high off the ground, and the wheels looked like they were holding it up. Thanks for looking!

This is a 12in DL with an 8 in DL on top. All butter cream icing - Peter pan, croc and tinkerbell are fondant. - rocks are chocolate. Tinkerbell is on 2 pipe cleaners twisted together then rolled in edible glitter. Thanks for looking!
This was done in almost all butter cream - the pirates, treasure chest, plank, and anchor are fondant. The sails are just paper. Got lots of ideas from this site. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but it would have looked a lot nicer in fondant. The cutomer didn't want to pay more than $65. It is cut from a 1/2 sheet, 6 ovals and 1 8 in square. My 5 year old has been playing with the left over icing in bags - and there was quite a bit when I finished Spongebob and his friends. So she went to town on 2 dozen cupcakes. Notice Saturn with the rings, a sunset, rainbow, clouds (in white and blue), a grasshopper and flowers. She has caught my decorating bug! She is decorating my birthday cake with my friend/business partner - can't wait to see!
These are actually decorated Twinkies (per the customers request). Her son LOVES Sponge Bob and Twinkies and she wanted to incorporate both. All butter cream icing. The son took them to school for his birthday - I feel really bad for the teacher, talk about a sugar high! Thanks for looking!

This is a dummy cake we did for a show and we've been taking it with us when we've given talks. Its a little beat up. It is a 16, 12, and 8 round dummy covered in buttercream with fondant accents and animals. The bottom side of the cake is the aquarium (cut out fish, sharks and turtles), above is the Africa exibit (lion, zebra, 2 elephants), then the polar exibit (penguins, polar bear, 2 seals), and jungle on top (monkey and giaraffe). There was a small water area on the back side w/ hippo and alligator
This is all buttercream - usually i don't post the basic roses/flowers - but I really liked this bouquet and the customer was beyond thrilled. Sometimes the simple ones get them more excited than the big ones!?! Her husband loves red flowers - whatever makes them happy.
