This is a wedding cake I made for two women having a commitment ceremony, and since I couldn't find 2 appropriate 'brides' to top the cake and they collect snowmen/women figurines, I used their glass snow women! It's sweet and simple and they loved it.
This is a cake I made for my father who is 74 years old. He doesn't have any pictures I drew from elementary school (1960's) so I decided to make this cake look like I drew it with crayons. It has a lake theme because my Dad lives on the lake and loves to watch the sailboats. It's a multi-swirl of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla cake with BC frosting. I call it my Neopolitan cake!
This is my first baby shower cake. I started cake decorating last November. It was for a 3rd grade teacher who was given a surprise baby shower today by the whole 3rd grade at school. I was told she loved it and everyone raved about how good it tasted. It took me a long time to decorate though. I worked on it from 9:30 p.m.- midnight. Hopefully I'll get faster with more practice! (thinking more than 2 #18 star tips will help!).
