Chocolate orange sponge covered with chocolate sugarpast and decorated with ornage Gerberas made from flower paste/ gum paste.
The mask is made from a hard icing - Pastillage and then covered in cut out bits of pieces of sugarpaste and covered with sparkles. The Notes were piped on with Royal Icing and the bars on the side were embossed with a patchwork cutter. The piano and other instruments were modeled by hand and the sheets of music are edible image sheets.
The sugarpaste/fondant is embossed using a patchwork cutter rose. The icing is thien dusted in a shimmer to give it a little sparkle. The flowers are handmade.

I made this cake last weekend for 12th Aug. All 3 tiers were lemon sponge covered in marzipan then sugarpaste. All the Calla lilies were made from flower paste then coloured either red tones or mango tones.
